This is an image related to my story "What They Don't Know", specifically chapter 14, which is not yet posted. Isn't it cute? I'm thirty plus years and have been writing FanFiction since about 2004. Let me tell you two peeves that I don't like about FanFiction. 1. A good story that is never finished. 2. A story that is never finished with its last posted chapter being a cliff-hanger. So I promise the following whenever I write a story: 1) I will endeavor to never leave a cliff-like chapter being the last chapter of a story. Unfortunately for number 2, when the muse leaves for a very long time, I will be forced to acknowledge that things have changed and place certain stories ON HOLD or else remove them completely depending on their size. I was sincerely hoping that this would never be the case and was naïve in that thought, but now I know that this will occur. When the time comes and when I can no longer recall the original story thread that I began with. This is something which I am truly sorry to disappoint anyone and everyone reading and enjoying the stories that I’ve written so far. (but it will never be a cliff-hanging chapter!!!!) A Little Personal Writing History: I first branched into Manga FanFiction beginning with “Fruits Basket” & “Yu-Gi-Oh”. I cringe every time I read my original submissions because I find a lot of mistakes that need to be corrected. Over time I do make the corrections, but I get so bombarded by writing ideas that I find myself getting stretched in many directions. The Fandoms that I'm currently working on are Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel the Series, CSI, CSI New York, YuGiOh, YuYuHakusho, Naruto, Gintama, Harry Potter, Final Fantasy XII, Stargate Atlantis, Law & Order:SVU, Pet Shop of Horrors, xxxHolic, InuYasha, Fruits Basket and a few others that I've begun with a page or two of writing, but haven't stayed with them long enough to produce a viable story line yet. From all of the above, believe me that inspiration is not the problem. I have Manga books, Animé Series and many seasons of the T.V. Fandoms mentioned above. I binge-watch and binge-read all of those too, which has the unfortunate side-effect the creating cross-over ideas. Warning: All my stories may turn out to have or be some form of SLASH fiction, even if it's only a bare mention. Yaoi, Shounen-ai, M/M Slash etc… is the genre that I tend to write because it was the "New" thing when I started to write, but now it's something that I can't help, but prefer. However on a side note: I find it really strange that f/f slash is more accepted than m/m slash. Whatever! I first fell in love with this type of story by accident in 2004 when I read “Unthinkable Thoughts” (HP/DM) and I haven't changed my mind about it since, but hopefully my writing or stories have improved over time. I don't intend to write many PWP (Plot What Plot) type of stories because I need substance in the stories I personally read. Hence I write in a substance type that fashion. Although I am now trying to write limited stories in order to produce completed works only. I do hope that you enjoy the efforts at story-writing that I've done so far. Again many apologies for placing favoured stories "ON HOLD", but I don't want to keep up anyone's hope that they will ever be finished in the immediate future or possibly ever. | |||||||
