Something about me... OK.... Well, I've been a fanfiction reader for over 25 years, now. Obviously I don't mean on fanfic.net. I am married, have a daughter who is 9-yrs-old-going-on-27, am a teacher/musician by trade and a Mom/homemaker by choice. I admit I am old enough to be the mother of many reader/writers here, but I don't enjoy it any less just because I'm really old. "Star Trek" fan fiction has been commercially published for at least 30 years, now; long before even any of the movies were produced. Since I've been a Trek fan most of my life, that's where I first started reading it and have written countless "Trek" stories of my own, but because this was back in the Jurassic era, I used a chisel and hammer on stone tablets (and I haven't written any "Trek"-fiction since paper and ink were invented -- translation, "high school.")

I'm here mainly as a reader; my daughter is a "Teen Titans" maniac, and I stumbled on this site while researching "Titans" to make sure it wasn't subversive or emotionally traumatizing (yes, we mothers really do that.) I was hooked on this site almost from the beginning. I've stuck mainly to the "Teen Titans" page as well as the Harry Potter page. The HP happens to be one of the most prolific categories on the entire site, by 100,000! But I can see why; it's an addicting series. The "Teen Titans" page is the largest in the "Cartoon" category, which at least tells me that my daughter isn't alone in her fandom. She is now branching out into Sailor Moon, so she and I may take a "G"-rated tour of the Sailor Moon stories.

I do expect to write some again soon; it's hard to hang around here for too long without getting bitten by the bug, so I may work out a few of the creative dust-bunnies that are bumping around underneath the unmade bed that is my brain.

That's the most relevant stuff. The rest is just filler.
