Who is Shaid? Shaid is a character I came up with when I was about 17 back in 1996. She's the second incarnation of the Metamorph, a creature I created some weird, angsty poetry about. The first was The Darkling Child and the most recent is The Knight. Shaid was my favorite of the group; fierce, determined, angry and in pain, but still soft, vulnerable and decidedly looking for someone to love her. A beautiful dichotomy that I still want to write stories for.

As for who I am? I'm a teacher, married to a sweet, funny hermit from Denver, CO. We officially got married Oct 29th, 2005. Oh, and I want to have a baby... like soon. I've kinda got babies on the brain. Blame the fact that I've been working in the infant room at the daycare I work at for months now. But yeah, After the wedding (or within the next 3 or so years) I really want to try to get pregnant. (12-15-08 A/N: no baby yet. health care sucks, economy sucks. and my biological clock is screaming a bit.)

I started loving Anime back in the 80's when I was a kid, but thought it was for boys, so kinda hid my enjoyment of it untill I was in high school. I'm kinda obsessed with Inuyasha but I like other things too. Cowboy Bebop has to be one of my all time favorites, along with Ranma 1/2, Witch Hunter Robin, Trigun and FLCL. I like Vampire Hunter D, Devil Hunter Yohko, Voices from a Distant Star and have fallen in love with Howl's Moving Castle and Princess Mononoke. But Inuyasha... totally captured my imagination.

The pairings I like are pretty traditional, (Kagome and Inuyasha, Miroku and Sango, Vash and Meryl, Amon and Robin, Ranma and Akane) even in AU stories and I for some reason find the AU stories some of the most fun ones. One couple I'm extreamly fond of yet find hard to write is Sesshomaru and Rin, probably because Sesshomaru is such an alien character to me. But I love the thought of a dark and violent older man protecting, out of love, a frail sweet younger girl... Considering that my hermit/husbandis a decade older than me, that kinda makes sense.

Honestly, I'll read fan fiction for any series or movie that I'm familiar with, which includes Labyrinth, Daria and a few others.

Anyway... I hope you like the few things I DO write (which aren't PERFECT, but they're readable) and read some of my favorites, which are really damn good!

Oh! And if you were ever a member of a poetry group called The Unfamilliars (ages ago, it fell apart in 1999, I believe), let me know! I was once the Archiveist of the group and while I deleted the files several years ago (no room for them on my hard drive!), I just might remember you...

Holy crap... I'm not dead I SWEAR!!

I'm working on revisions and starting to write for other fandoms... Sessy is hot, but he's not the only drool-worthy character in fiction.

You know how you kinda stumble across a new story and it just really... grips you? Yeah, well. I found Twilight. God farking DAMN it. Didn't WANT to like it but after reading half a chapter, I didn't really have much of a choice. I got sucked in with a vengeance. Hell, I didn't even fall into Inuyasha this hard and I'm still a huge fan of that...

Oh and I've had nearly 20 Twilight plot bunnies ripping my brain to shreds. I may post one, if I can write something that isn't drivel.
