Lewis), Anne of Green Gables Series, The Sparrow and Children of God (Mary Doria Russell), anything by Jane Austen, the Father Brown stories by G.K. Chesterton. Favorite movies: Lord of the Rings trilogy, Enchanted April, anything Trek (with the possible exception of "Nemesis"), Chocolat, Pan's Labyrinth, Shadowlands, Something the Lord Made, Galaxy Quest, Pride and Prejudice (the miniseries). Favorite music: Death Cab for Cutie, Ben Taylor, Alison Krauss, The Format, Fountains of Wayne, James Taylor. Time for some new recs - here are some of my favorite one-shots: Flesh, Blood and Ink by darklyromantic. Usually I am not a big fan of Snape/Lily stories (they tend towards the cloying), but this one was heartbreaking and (I thought) extremely well written, with some sharp characterization. The Dunderhead Tax by Scattered Logic. Made me smile. A lot. Hermione pickets Snape's potion establishment. The Hall of Heroes by Pavonis Mons. Snape and Norse mythology. And singing giants. One Good Turn Deserves...Lupin? by Bellegeste. Another one that made me laugh. Lupin plumbs the depth of inaptitude when he fills in for Snape during a Potions class. Academic Discourse by 'there goes my gun'. Exchange of letters between two passive-aggressives. Canon-compatible? No. But it made me laugh. A Small Thing by Scattered Logic.
