I'm TheScarlettSecret, but most just call me Kate. I've been brighteninig the world since July 17, 1991. Which means I'm 15. If I sound or look familiar, you must've seen me laughing with my friends in Minnesota. There aren't cows in my front yard, but my midwestern drawl's pretty darn cute, dontchaknow (sarcasm).
I'm plugged in and listening to Shakira, Paramore, KT Tunstall, Yellowcard, and Ceasars, along with musicals' sountracks (RENT, Wicked, Hello, Dolly!, Moulin Rouge)
I'm not going to tell you what I look like, because it doesn't matter. And I doubt you're going to believe "butt-length black hair with purple highlights and purple eyes". At lease, please tell me you wouldn't.
I love snowboarding. To the utmost degree. Specifically the Rendezvouz run on Copper Mountian in Copper, Colorado. I can kick your ass on that run. Besides that, I like running, and soccer. Love soccer. I don't need drugs to get me high. Just my best friends and some night air.

Please review if you read anything I write, and constructive critisism is always welcome. Key word there: constructive. If no one reviews, well, then to me that says "no one's reading your story. It sucks. You suck. Take it down, it's an embarassment to ff.net. In fact, so are you." And then I get all sad, and go eat ice cream, and you all know what junk food leads to if you don't work it off. Like I'd work it off in that state of mind.

Something To Think About!

I don't think you realized what just happened. Or what's going to happen in about two seconds. Here's a hint: they're the same thing. And, no, it's not Outlook Express checking your server for email. A child just died. Between reading stories and writing them, hundreds of children die for reasons they can't account for.

Every three seconds, a child dies from AIDS and extreme poverty in Africa. That's just one of the problems children face in Africa, but AIDS and poverty is the cause of many. We're lucky to live such luxurious lives, the least we can do is donate a dollar or two here and there. Imagine if these kids had the chances we have to change the world, the one who died twenty years ago, because his mother prostitued, contracting AIDS, in order to feed herself, could've found the cure for cancer.

Cupid, Hit Me (July 28) : A cute drabble I did, originally too long, I had to cut out some words here and there. But now it's exactly one hundred. I love it, personally. It's just cute, with a feeling of excitement and happiness.

HWR54, Bringing Magic to Your Ears (July 27, 2006) : A short, supposed-to-be-funny fic with Hermione and Pansy being cohosts of a radio show together. I might keep on with this one once in a while.

300 kmh in the Wrong Lane (July 24, 2006) : Not very exciting, but I wanted to work on something with Pansy, I like the idea of her being in the Order. I'll probably do another one like this, except better. It's not written that well.

And He Called Me Hermione (July 9, 2006) : A little oneshot I worked on one day. No betas or anything. It turned out much longer than I was originally thinking, but that's what happens when I've got a keyboard under my fingers. I actually wrote it all in the "Preview/Edit" portion of ff.net. This is my favorite piece I've written. Ever.

Beautiful (July 5, 2006) : This is a lovely, extremely short piece that almost any girl can relate to. I just thought I'd put it out there.

Seventeen Secrets (April 14, 2006) : On haitus. Possibly forever. I came up with the idea a long time ago, but I'd have to reformat a lot of it, which could cause some problemos. So if I ever get my muse for this story back, maybe I'll continue.

Always a Gryffindor (Februrary 24, 2006) : A oneshot that I wrote all in one sitting. I was in a mood, and turned it into something more constructive. The apartment is something of my dreams, and the idea just struck me.

Never Since the Founders Four (November 24, 2005) : On haitus. Possibly forever. I really like the idea, but I found out while writing this that I'm terrible at long-term projects. The last two chapters are horrendous. One day I'll get around to rewriting them and continuing. Find me my muse and maybe I will.

The Final Stand (September 9, 2005) : Oneshot about Lily's last moments and memories. Not my best piece, but I still like it. Fixed the problem with James' eyes July 22, 06.
