dragon of winter nights ('down' for short - /I/ can't be bothered to type all that lot, I can hardly expect anyone else to! XD) is /really really tardy with updates/. Sorry, people!

I love manga, and anime, as many books as I can get my hands on, and pretty much every genre going. History, especially medieval and earlier, and languages are other things I love to play with, as is music (again, practically any genre. XD I love TVXQ, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, L'arc en Ciel, Vienna Teng, Bach... I'm learning to play the flute at the moment.)

'Protecting You' is my current (monster TT_TT) project, and the supposed posting schedule died a horrific death when my wrist did. And life keeps getting in the way. Be sure that I'm still working on it, though, and thank you so much to everyone who's reading it! At the moment, the projected length is c. 100,000 words - 20 chapters - of which over half is written, probably two thirds. I'm getting there. Slowly but surely.

ETA: ahahaha, projected length is now about 150-175,000 words, and 21/22 chapters? About six left to go, anyway, which are maybe a quarter written now - I'm on a notional chapter-a-week posting schedule. Of course, I now begin to notice that PY is making eyes at me about being the first in a ~trilogy~, ARGH. XDDD;;; eta again: so, 200,000 words and 24/25 chapters, now. Um. I have this problem a lot. ^^;;;

I'm working on a couple more things not quite as epic, but having learnt my lesson about posting things in stages before the end is written then wanting to redo the beginning, they won't be appearing until they're somewhat closer to finished. (There's a modern day au, another set in a Japanese university with added extra magic (which is now beginning to appear here! So you can see how well that resolution lasted. ^^;), and a rather bizarre thing about a festival in Cephiro all currently in progress.)
