Yes, I've written fanfiction. No, I am not good at it. I've written several over the years of being on ff.net but my previous ones were deleted in shame since they were so bad. Now I know I'm far of a better writer, and I've been able to develop a good enough eye to identify some pretty bad writing that almost seem praised by even the publishing business. Eragon and Twilight are crap, among many other novels in which I know fanfiction writers that could do better. However, because I've become quite picky when it comes to what I give my time to read, I've become quite self-conscious about my own writing. In fact, I hadn't planned to write fanfiction again ever, unless there was an exception made on tiny drabbles nobody would pay attention to anyway. Sweeter Than Cake resulted from pressure from a friend. Even though I don't pride myself on writing, I know I'm better at it then drawing, so in exchange for fanart from said friend (who is far better at it than I am) she asked me to write a fic on the same pairing. I agreed, since Soulsilvershipping needed more love on this side of the ocean, as it seems pretty popular on pixiv.net.

It also needs better fanfiction that I would - might - just actually read myself. Would I read my own writing? I don't know since I'm too darn ashamed to reread them to find out. Either way, it seems that Silver's Typhlosion has stolen the show of the fanfic.
