Which
is Home is currently on hiatus until I sort the final form of the
plot. I'm sorry to leave you hanging in such a terrible place,
but I just wasn't happy with the way things were going. The
author's notes that I sent you for are here. They're not long, really, and it's probably a good idea to read
them.
Originally
I was just going to sit here and read stories... then I decided to
write again, for the heck of it, mostly to counteract all
the evil papers I've got to write for classes. I try to do a decent
job, but I've got waaaay too much stuff itching at the back of my head.
(-: My first loves were X-Files and Animorphs fanfictions, but since
those are both long over I am quite obviously now into anime. I'm
currently following Naruto and FMA, and in constant search of other
things to watch. My fics are mostly FMA-based though because I am
currently in a major state of withdrawl, and waiting a month between
chapters of the
manga is simply torture.
Oh,
and the homepage link is my general fic journal, if you're really bored
and want to see what I'm writing. I'll warn you right now though,
things in there are rough and incomplete and more often than not leave
off in awkward places. And I don't post spoiler warnings in there, either. Because I'm evil.
In
general, I tend to write the more minor characters because I have some
sort of odd aversion to writing much on the main ones (perhaps because
everyone tends towards them instead?). If it's an FMA fic that I've
written, you're pretty much guaranteed that it focuses on the military
characters. I'm far more likely to write Al than Ed, too. This is also
why I suck at Naruto fics (which I plan to work on, but I'm sure you'll
see mostly Kakashi and Iruka and the like if I write anything solely
Naruto). Just the way I am, I s'pose. And for some reason, I find the
background characters that push
everything along to be a lot more fun, anyway. _ Oh, and for
whatever reason I don't write fics where the pairings are the
point. They might be incidental, but they're just sort of...
there.
Now for the List of Fics:
Which is Home: The title is annoying me... but it is in all honesty almost almost done
(the ending is outlined, really). So after I get that down and post it
up, I'll go into the final editing stage and write in all the lovely
things that you'll notice are missing when it comes to the ending and
then change the title so it stops annoying me. This is, by far, the
longest thing I have ever written. Hooray for Nanowrimo!
Old Dog, New Tricks:
I've got no idea what I'm doing with this one. It actually started as a
review for my physics... if I can ever remember where I was going with
it, I'll update it. Until then, it is stamped with HIATUS in giant letters.
The Two Sides of Maes Hughes: Yet another fic that has the ending all outlined. Ending and middle.
I just need to be in the right mood to write it. I'm sure by about
third or fourth week of this quarter, I'll be depressed and angsty
enough to get it done. _
And,
in the works we have an mystery crossover of crack and doom, another
possible crossover that I might just stretch into an original story
because it's easier that way, and a lot of small little drabbles and
one-shots that will probably never leave my journal. Lots and lots,
because part of my New Year's resolution is 500 words a day, and if I'm
uninspired on everything else, something drabble-like will get written.
And if you're still reading this... umm... yay! You're awesome!
Since you've read this far, I know you're a good (or bored) person, and
I'll make you an offer. If you're ever looking for a beta reader
(provided what you're writing is in a fandom I'm familiar enough with),
just drop me an e-mail and I'll be more than happy to read. I'm
anal-retentive when it comes to grammar and spelling, though (and to
some extents, I'm a canon nazi. I can deal with crack,
though). Hehehehe.
