Author has written 31 stories for Star Wars, Star Wars, Phantom of the Opera, Prince of Persia, Shaman King, Inuyasha, Neverwinter Nights, Oblivion, Mass Effect, Death Note, Dragon Age, and Yu Yu Hakusho. "In my heart, I still believe in miracles. God is the greatest magician of them all." Erik, from "Phantom" by Susan Kay Hi everyone. In the strange case that you truly chose to visit this profile to find out some more about me, here goes. I'm a college freshman still unable to choose what she wants to be when she grows up. I focus mostly on the visual arts, though I have a tiny little hope of developing a voice suitable for opera (not necessarily professionally, mind you, I just became obsessed with the aria Ruhe Sanft and decided that I would be able to sing it one day). I've changed strategies and intend to study Japanese or Arabic after I finish my degree in international relations (diplomacy + economy). I'm European, look way too Nordic for my liking and I'm the local bookworm extraordinaire. I love Star Wars (mostly KotOR), Phantom of the Opera, Inuyasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, Bleach, Rurouni Kenshin, a lot of DD games, Shaman King, Prince of Persia, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, classical music (particularly opera), loads of other stuff that would take waaay long to list and my personal muse, Mozart. Try listening to his music sometimes, it really helps with your concentration and nerves. Random pointless facts about me Favorite anime: Definitely Urusei Yatsura, my all-time favorite, then Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2, RIN-NE, Bleach, Death Note (L ftw!), Yu Yu Hakusho and Rurouni Kenshin (I prefer the manga, though) and I enjoy Shaman King, Hellsing (Rule of Cool personified) and Slayers (Xellos is one of the best characters ever) as well Favorite book: The Count of Monte Cristo - strangely, I'm not entirely squicked by the Edmond/Haydée thing. Can't judge her in this case, considering what a magnificent bastard he is. Then, in no particular order: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Marvin rocks! Oh, and PoTO and LotR as well. Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, though only the first three; I was entirely bored throughout Tale of the Body thief and I don't really think the series got back to the initial coolness level afterwards. Gregory Maguire's stuff is wonderful (aside from Mirror Mirror, that bored me) I have recently taken a great liking to the book Taiko about the history of Japan :) Favorite movie: LotR (all 3), Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Up!, Wall-E... too many to name... Favourite color: purple and crimson, plus I like silver... Favorite character (not in the listed order): Revan (doesn't matter what you imagine him/her as, canon or not, this is THE Jedi/Sith), HK-47, Atton Rand, Mira (KotOR), Kagura, Sango, Miroku, Shippo, Kagome, Sesshomaru, Rin (IY), Lum, Ataru, Mendou, Shinobu and Ryuunosuke (if I say I love all there is about Urusei Yatsura, this list will be way shorter) Kenshin (go Battousai!), Kaoru, Sano, Yahiko, Misao, Megumi and Aoshi (pretty much the full cast of Ruroken, hehe) Kaileena, Farah (PoP), Valen Shadowbreath, Nathyrra (NWN 1: HotU), Sand, Gann, Safiya, Neeshka (NWN2), Anna, Hao and Yoh, to a lesser degree (SK), Ranma, Ryoga, Akane and Happosai (Ranma 1/2), Kurama, Botan, Kuwabara Shizuru, Urameshi Yusuke (Yu Yu Hakusho), L (Death Note), Rukia, Ishida, Orihime, Urahara , Kon, Nel, Ulquiorra (Bleach) Favorite computer game: Neverwinter Nights 2 (+ MotB!) and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion! KotOR, but PoP is very enjoyable. Planescape: Torment is THE RPG Favorite musical: PotO, but I enjoy Les Mis, Wicked, Spamalot and others as well. Nowadays, I have RENT and Spring Awakening as my power-up music Favorite non-operatic type of music: just about anything, I listen to a lot of Nightwish, Shakira, Green Day, David Bowie, Garbage, Goo Goo Dolls, Vanessa Carlton, Dido, Ayumi Hamasaki and Train Favorite opera: Don Giovanni all the way, but The Barber of Seville is great too Favorite ship: Ah, the difficult question. Well, let's see... E/C (PotO), KagKur - the best x-over pairing in anime history, let me tell you that! InuKag, SessKag - must be well-written, as it is a challenge, MirSan (insert grin) and SessKagura (IY), KenKao (RK), HaoAnna (SK), a bit of fem!RevanMalak (KotOR), though non-mushy fem!RevanCarth is fine Why do I write in American English at times and British at others? As I'm neither British nor American and English is my second language, I kinda picked up the slang of both and usually differentiate only when requested to use one of those. So really, this depends on my mood, thus please forgive any mistakes! Current ambition: Acing my audition for Pirates of Penzance, though I'm both hoping for and dreading getting Mabel (difficult!). Edith would be nice, though. Currrent fanfiction: Keep it a Mystery - all right, yes, I did promise to finish it by the end of August, but my schedule doesn't allow me to just sit down and reread the whole thing. To be honest, I sort of lost my PotO vibe after a while. I will finish it, though, since only one or two chapters remain, but I want to do it properly. Serious - Ah, the L/Misa pairing. How I love it. This was a random brainchild and it's almost at its end, but I had great fun doing it! Maybe I should write another DN fic... White and Black - nearing the end, my pretties. Lisette is by far my best OC, so this will count, have no fear How the Wind Dances - past the halfway mark, but I sort of lost interest with the nearing of the Dragon Age release date Beyond Forever - will get the third theme done soon, but that's one of the difficult ones Breadcrumbs - maybe I should have waited for a little more inspiration for this one... I should replay KotOR II now... | |||||||
