Author has written 19 stories for Matrix, Constantine, and House, M.D..

It's been quite a while since I first created this profile, and since I've been honored enough to have quite a few people reading the things I've been writing, lately, I thought it might be time to update it a little.

Me? Well, on the surface it doesn't look like there's a whole lot to say. I write software for a living, have written two PC games(the latest here: gnosis(dot)truthofthespoon(dot)net(slash)Synchronisma.html) and do a lot of web design for a contract coding agency, and have the same pitfalls and passions as anyone else: we all bleed, after all. On the inside... well, that's a different story.

I'm what you might call one of those "crazy-insane-headvoice-soulbonder people"; although I've come to loathe the term "soulbond" over the past three years or so. My website, linked above, explains a better definition; the "Matrix" memoirs below help pick up some of the pieces; and the stories I've written for House, M.D. might explain the rest. Suffice it to say that I seem to be not the only one sharing my headspace lately, and people tend to either think I'm crazy and should -- to quote one random stranger -- "go die", or they seem or hear or feel the truth in the things I say, and accept that if I had any reason to lie, or were gaining anything at all from being who I am, I'd have a load of money in the bank and a far less worrisome life. Not whinin'; just sayin'.

There's a saying that's so painfully cliche that it's like literary diarrhea: "I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I am not", and even though I should be too old at 29 to use such an achingly pitiful example, it's nothing but the truth. Anyone who wants more information can easily contact me -- I have absolutely nothing to hide -- on Livejournal or via e-mail, etc., and I'm always willing to talk.

I really thought about putting a smaller explanation of the 'bonding phenomenon here: I used to have a foolish dream that someday, like DID, it'd be simply mainstream theory or metaphysics instead of a reason for total strangers to send me death threats. But it's just a part of who I am; and if anyone really wants to know more, I'm here. Simple as that.

What else? I play the piano, guitar, drums and (badly)violin; I used to compose and sing rock music up until a few years ago, even played in quite a few clubs in various cities and states. I've visited seven countries and almost every state, have moved five times in the last year and a half, and oh yeah: I'm disabled. I'll spare you the sad details, except for the irony that I know what it's like to have a bum leg and walk with a cane, and struggle for pain relief in a paranoid time. Among other things, I'm busy trying to make use of the time I have.

Why I'm here? That's in the website, too. Why Greg's here... is anyone's guess, although I'm in the process of taking several paths in my life at the moment to make sure that if I can help it, I can maybe keep other people from having to fight the same battles I did. I'm also happily engaged to my wonderful fiancee, think a certain House "fandom" BNF is overrated, love my dog and have a whole slew of bizarre habits that I'm too damn tired to list here. I also am a music whore, for everything from blues to rock to jazz, Ryan Adams to Nirvana and AC/DC, Kiss and the Stones and the Pistols to Cake and Massive Attack, the Pixies, Miles Davis, A Perfect Circle, Dave Brubeck, Leonard Cohen, REM, the Jim Carroll Band, Fleetwood Mac, Rage Against the Machine, Thelonius Monk, Bush, Matchbox 20, Evanescence, Ani DiFranco, Marilyn Manson, Sisters of Mercy, Eminem... the list goes on and on. I've always got tunes playing somewhere.

To all of the wonderful authors and readers out there: thank you so much. You've made it worth it, and you've given me a whole lot of joy in these last few months. I'd keep doing it if only to know that I'm making people happy. (I got a review the other day saying that if the person failed their exams the morning they read Dressed to Kill, it'd be on my head; that was one of the greatest feedbacks of all time. )

The rest... well, I guess you'll have to ask. Either one of us. >_>
