Author has written 1 story for Newsies. There isn't much to report about me. I've always lived in North Carolina, one of the most boring states in the US. I go to a typical school, and have ordinary classes. I do have awesome friends, however, and I don't know what I would do without them. I suppose I should give some very basic information about me, if you really would like to know (and I know you do!). I'm 16, and I tend to be a very obsessive person, as you can see. I love listening to music, mainly soundtrack, classical, and baroque; but I listen to Top 40 radio a good amount. I have greenish-blue eyes and blondish-somewhat reddish-brown hair (odd, I know, blame my parents), and I'm around 5'7. I love biology, and I hope to become an anesthesiologist someday. I also really enjoy French, despite my lack of talent. (Le chocolat est la meilleure nourriture!) My friends and I have come up with newsie nicknames for each other, and I was assigned the name Sage (which, oddly enough, means "well-behaved" in French). There was another name mentioned for me, but I don't think that that information needs to be shared here. I don't play any competitive sports (supposedly I lack aggression), but I take ballet and jazz. I'm not the greatest, but I love it anyway, go figure. The situation is about the same with band. I play the flute, just to let you know. If I think of any more information everyone just needs to know, I'll add it. I love anything Harry Potter, and most other fantasy and historical fiction books. Some of my favorite writers include J.K. Rowling, Garth Nix, Christopher Paolini, William Shakespeare, Diana Duane, Tolkien, and Libba Bray. Needless to say, I very much enjoy reading. If you have any good books by authors I haven't mentioned, feel free to email me, I'm always looking for something new to read! I also love to write. I've written a few HP fanfictions, and I have plans for a couple more. I also have some good ideas for original fiction, but right now they're just that- ideas. My newest obsession is the movie Newsies. I simply can't get enough of those adorable singing newsboys! Skittery in particular. (drool) I already have a fanfiction in progress. However, as I am now involved in ballet, band, and various school clubs, I doubt that it will be posted any time soon. I'm a perfectionist, so I have to read and re-read it several times before I'm satisfied. Oh well, let's just say it'll be out eventually. I also recently discovered the glory that are song fics. I have ideas for a few (all about Newsies), but because of me being slightly obsessive-compulsive, they must be up to my standard before I have the courage to post them. Being me isn't easy sometimes. I have written some original fiction, and if anyone cares to read it, here is my homepage: http://www.fictionpress.com/~stargazer138 I thought that I would add in some quotes from movies, books, or everyday life that I like. More will come as I discover them. "Ashley, why is there gum in the ice bucket?"-- Christin during our interesting band trip to NYC "Are you German?" "It's not Michael Goorjian, it's Michael Gorgeous!"-- Ashley during French class "Did you hear something?" "I'm a growing girl, I need my chocolate!"-- Ashley during break, after French one day "Headlines don't sell papes, newsies sell papes!"- Newsies (specifically Jack) "Do you have a band-aid?"-Michael Goorjian (Blood Drips on Newsie Square) "Just because you have the emotional range of a teaspoon doesn't mean we all have."--- Hermione (HP) "But why's she got to go to the library?" "So you get your picture in the papes, what does that get ya, huh?"- Skittery (Newsies) "But why is the rum gone?"- Captain Jack Sparrow (PotC) "C'est une belle vie!"- A new saying I've adopted after watching Newsies with French subtitles "I didn't do it!"- Skittery (Newsies) "Now, I'm not saying I'm wrong, but..."-- One of my mom's more interesting slip-of-the-tongues "This stalking is harder than I expected..." -Mark David (Blood Drips) "Smarties aren't bad for you, they're made out of sugar!"-- Ashley during Girl Scouts "Hey, Emmi, look, the newsies have been here!"-- My 7 year-old brother after seeing a newspaper machine empty (poor boy, I've already corrupted his mind with one of my obsessions) | |||||||
