Explanation: The Sparkbearer Saga has spawned multitudes of spinoffs and rabid plotbunny babies. The main series is tagged with the word ‘Transformers’ at the beginning of the title (Juxtaposition, Schism, etc.). Each Sparkbearer novel will have a sidestory just for that novel where I can put whatever amusing snippets occur to me that won’t fit in the main plot. Jux’s sidestory is Care and Feeding, Schism’s sidestory will be Earth Studies 101, and so on. Spare Parts is an overreaching sidestory that will contain whatever bits I choose to publish from any point of time in the Saga and may contain things considered to be AU. ‘Dreamverse’ refers to the spinoff universe created when Cafei published the Jux comics (you’ll be able to find them on the Sparkbearer Website after I get the links fixed – see Other Goodies for details). Any story tagged with Dreamverse is liable to be utter crack and probably features Cafei’s alter ego (Li’l Cafei) wreaking havoc amongst the ‘Bots. Any occurrences in these stories are attributed to very strange dreams of Evelyn’s but are really just me and ‘Fei messing with her head.

Because I have a ton of the little buggers running around and not enough attention to give to all of them, I thought I'd put some of my plotbunnies out there for others to play with in the hopes that they'd find happy homes elsewhere. These ideas are anywhere from one to twelve years old, so they're due a little TLC.

The Rules: If you would like to adopt a plotbunny, feel free to take whichever of the litter strikes your fancy. All I ask is that if you post it on ff.net, send me a PM with the story’s title and your screenname and please include ‘Vaeru #’ in the summary with the appropriate bunny number so I can find it. :3 Also, a little advertising for Ye Olde Bunny Farm would not be remiss.

#01 Harry Potter/Inuyasha crossover. A different spin on Harry Potter meets Inuyasha: Rin grew up as Sesshoumaru’s adopted human and eventually married another human to have a family of her own. Sesshoumaru, immortal, lived on through the years, keeping watch over the coming generations… all the way down to one Harry Potter, who incidentally inherited his many-times-great-grandmother’s dark, messy hair. Notes: originally, the plotbunny also demanded a blood-mixing incident between Rin and Sesshoumaru to cover the Power The Dark Lord Knows Not, but hey, whatever floats your boat. Also, I had worked out some convoluted explanation as to why Sesshoumaru does not appear at Hogwarts until several years into Harry’s schooling, but I admit that it has slipped my mind. (I think it was something along the lines of Hogwarts’ wards keeping Sesshoumaru from realizing that Harry was in danger. Perhaps the duel at the end of the fourth book, off of Hogwarts’ grounds, placed Harry in enough danger to alert the demon lord?) Of course, you could always take it from year one and go from there… BONUS POINTS: Sesshoumaru/Harry paternal/guardian bonding.

#02 Pokemon: A Pokemon-Pokemon Trainer. An aspiring young pokemon trainer is stricken with a degenerative illness that makes it impossible for her (or him) to actually set out on a Pokemon Journey. She confided all of her dreams to her pokemon, a ditto, which then takes it upon itself to make its trainer’s dreams come true through any means necessary, even if it means masquerading as a human all the way through Victory Road. Notes: naturally, this means that the ditto must overcome several difficulties, such as replicating human speech without that nasty ‘ditto-to’ stutter giving it away or being able to create passable hands or hair… or making other pokemon listen to commands from one of their own.
1) A Pokemon Pokemon Trainer by DemocracyWomanAttempting to win the title of Pokémon Master for a close friend, Di will do anything in reach to achieve this goal, even if it means masquerading as human.

#03 Yuu Yuu Hakusho: Reincarnation Romance. After Yuusuke’s resurrection as a demon lord, Keiko passes away. Years later, Yuusuke comes across a young woman with familiar features and an even more familiar attitude, but things were never easy where a certain Demon Lord is concerned, especially when it comes to romance. Notes: for this, I intended for the Keiko-incarnation to slowly regain her memories of her past life, and for a cycle to develop, that the human woman would pass away and a reincarnation emerge later to reunite with Yuusuke, repeat as needed.

#04 Yuu Yuu Hakusho/Inuyasha crossover. A different spin on Yuu Yuu Hakusho meets Inuyasha: Yuusuke and co. are sent to investigate a strange energy reading at a certain shrine. (Yup, you guessed it.) However, when Yuusuke wanders off from his group, he finds his way into a certain wellhouse and comes face-to-face with a strange man who looks frighteningly like… himself. Said man summarily shoves Yuusuke down the well, where the young demon finds himself embroiled in a mess of demonic politics that nothing in Spirit World could have prepared him for. To survive, he binds himself to the service of Sesshoumaru as a guard and warrior. Notes: I actually do have a partial outline for this one still on my hard drive. I intended for Yuusuke to evolve from his usual overpowered teenage self into a demon of mature and deadly standing, because such a change would have been fascinating to watch. And of course, since I am a huge fan of ‘things coming full circle’, the epilogue would continue directly on from the prologue after Yuusuke vanished, with the older Yuusuke greeting his friends and introducing Sesshoumaru. Fun, ne?
1) Moebius by tarapandaes Yusuke and the others are sent to investigate a mysterious source of power. Strangely familiar demon appears and Yusuke falls into a well. Yusuke has to find his way back as he meets Sesshoumaru.

#05 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Cat meets Turtles. Because I am sick of seeing random mutant females popping out of nowhere to sex up the TMNT. Challenge: young woman is transformed fully into a cat and winds up living with the turtles. Keeping her intelligence a secret at first, fearful of the mutants, she grows into a member of the family and attempts to find a way to reverse her transformation. Notes: I would pay money to see how she would interact with Klunk, especially since Klunk would still be a ‘dumb’ cat and unable to communicate with her but still want to interact with her as a cat. Honestly. My original storyline had the girl working in a vet clinic, meeting Klunk when April brought him in for a visit, and becoming a test-subject for the eccentric doctor who runs the clinic; said doctor is famous for his laboratory, where only he is allowed to enter. There was also a Foot connection – hiring him to find a way to disable the turtles – but you may work it out as you wish. REQUIREMENT: girl does not become a romantic interest! Friendship okay, sisterly or maternal relationship a major plus.

#06 Star Trek TOS: USS Enterprise wakes up! After encountering a strange energy phenomenon while investigating a strange nebula, odd things start happening aboard the USS Enterprise: energy surges, mechanical malfunctions, andKirk gets the feeling that he’s being watched. The Enterprise gains sentience and awareness of her passengers and does her best to protect them. You can also add in a telepathic/empathic bond between her and Kirk (which would rock, really). I’ve got the prologue written, which I’d be willing to send to you to give you a jumping off place if you’d like.
1) Voices in the Dark by Catchandelier "Once you are Real you can't become unreal again. It lasts for always." OR There is a girl, floating in the darkness- and her sisters won't call her back.

#07 Fullmetal Alchemist: Ed/Envy brotherhood. After the series, Edward is trapped on Earth, desperate to return to Al, and he stumbles across Envy, injured, trapped in his dragon form. They discover that they can each use their alchemical talents when they’re touching each other (I had an explanation for this, but I’ve forgotten it – something about the combination of a non-alchemically-able human and an alchemically-made being combining their energies… or the fact that Envy has red-stones inside him, which let Ed do alchemist things… or something, I dunno). They come to an agreement to work together to find their way back home and wind up with a growing, grudging friendship. For BONUS POINTS you can add in something about Envy needing Edward’s help in order to stay alive. REQUIREMENT: there must be no slash!

#08 Ghost in the Shell SAC: Third Birth. I came up with a theory of Third Birth (Third Birth: from the theory of three births, the first being natural birth into a completely organic body, the second being the transfer of one’s ghost into a cyberbrain or cybernetic body, and the third being the theoretically possible ‘birth’ of one’s ghost ascending to an independent existence within the virtual world without the need for a physical body.) to act as an introduction for this story (feel free to use it). The Tachikoma didn’t die; their bodies were destroyed, but their personalities uploaded onto the internet. Of course, Section Nine doesn’t have a clue about this until they realize that they all, especially Batou, seem to have some kind of guardian angels watching over them. (Original idea: someone is injured, or a bust goes bad, and the others are alerted through the internet, but the message has no traceable author or origin. There was also the plotbunny of an Uchikoma about to make a mistake during a bust – by being logical – and instead doing the illogical, but correct, thing due to Tachikoma interference.) You can keep the Tachikoma incorporeal or have them downloaded into new bodies.
