Soooo...I'm Trufreak89, aka Tan. I'm almost twenty, I'm English and I'm studying Game Design & Production at Northumbria University. I've got an academic background in sociology, religious studies and history, and I love using that knowledge in my writing. Most of my stuff is femslash, but I'm starting to include more Het (The majority of my Torchwood/Doctor Who stuff). I watch/read/write/live for a lot of different fandoms, some more than others. Anything to do with sci-fi, crime, fantasy...well to cut it short anything remotely geeky. My longest story to date is 'Tears of the Weevil', which is almost 20,000 words long and took a year to write. Hence why I mostly just write short/intense angst stories, with the occassional longer fic thrown in to the mix. I've been writing for almost five years. I haven't posted anything in almost a year, between work, uni and my partner I don't get much time to write. But it's now the end of the year so I'm sure my friend's inboxes will soon be flooded with story alerts ;) I'm trying to break in to the Skins fandom as well as The Mentalist and Primeval. I'm hoping that new pairings and fandoms will get me back in to the swing of writing again, but I'll also be going back to my old favourites like Buffy, Blade The Series, Torchwood etc. What I'm working on: A primeval fic with an Abbey/Helen pairing Several Skins stories with Emily/Naomi pairings...I have one posted and about a million half done. Sins of the Weevil is on hold...do I need more of a reason than series 2? I did find a half done chapter 7 the other day and started writing a little bit, so here's hoping the new series will get me back in to it. | |||||||||||
