Author has written 7 stories for Kingdom Hearts, and Vampire Knight. Name: Bobbi ~Random Little Rantings~ So I bet everyone (like, two of you) is wondering what in the world has been happening since my last update. Well, seeing as how I'm pretty sure the last time I updated this was in high school, I'm sure you can imagine that quite a bit has been going on. Well, actually, taking a look at it, I must have last updated some time near the middle or end of 2008. So yeah, needless to say, a lot has happened since then. I mean, it's been, what? A year? Almost two, maybe, since my last update? Yeah, ph41l, I know. So, taking it from the beginning... I quit my job as a cashier at ShopKo in April 2008 (April 12th, to be exact. I put my 2 weeks in on April 1st, so needless to say my manager thought it was an April Fool's joke) for one that paid way better at the Oriental Trading Company, complete with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. Whelp, that lasted a week. Go on, laugh at me. After that stint at OTC, I spent about two or three months being unemployed and hiding it from my parents. Oh yeah, I am that awesome. Near the end of that unemployment, on June 16th, I went to my first anime convention here in my home town — Otaku Omaha 2008. The next day, June 17th, I met this freaking tall dude in a bitchin' home-made Organization XIII cloak, and being the Kingdom Hearts fanslut that I am, I had to get his autograph and his picture. Might want to laugh at me here, since my autograph book was a home-made Death Note for my Misa Misa cosplay (which didn't get perfected until that year's Nebraskon, and has been improving steadily ever since I learned that yes, I can do my own makeup). Anyway, at the same con, I got an autograph and picture with Vic Mignona, the voice of Edward Elric, Dark Mousey, and a whole slew of other anime characters you all probably know more about than I do. I also have this sweet pic of him tickling my friend Patricia for ruining the last picture he tried taking with her... Bet you're wondering why I brought up that guy in the Org cloak, huh? It was Vic. XD Okay, no I'm kidding. Well, here, let me tell you a bit of a story... After about an hour of running around, I was looking through my Death Note at the various signatures I'd gotten, and I remembered who had done each and every one. I noticed something next to one of the signatures on the first page (for some reason everyone signed their first name and last initial on the first page). It was something that looked like a username. Now I naturally figured it was for Gaia Online, but just to make sure it wasn't Myspace or a completely different website I'd never heard of before, I went hunting that guy down to confirm it. Well, it was confirmed to be Gaian, so I went about my merry way for the rest of the convention, even getting an autograph from the most awesome Sora and Riku cosplayers I've ever seen. Well, a few months later as I was ogling my siggies again, I saw that guy's name and username, and decided to PM him. We started talking a little, and since by that time I had gotten myself a job at the Panera Bread at the mall, we decided to hang there after I got off work. After that, we spent a lot of time together, even went out to a couple of places, but soon things kind of dwindled down to the point where we were mostly just messaging each other through YIM or Gaia. Then we lost contact for a while due to planning for Nebraskon (I was going to be filming the concert for that year, and I have a few more bits of it to post to YouTube. See, fanfiction.net isn't my only neglected website!), and I didn't see much of him until the con itself. I did something then that surprised the living daylights out of me. I squealed his name at the top of my lungs and ran across the entrance room/hall/thingy to throw my arms around him in the one and only glomp I have ever done in my entire life. He had previously told me (before contact kind of stopped) that he wasn't able to make it to NebKon because of something about not having a ride or hotel or something like that, so I was pretty surprised to see him there. We talked for a bit, and I introduced him to my friends Rebecca and Patricia, who were cosplaying as Near and L, respectively. Me? I was in my perfected Misa costume, which is apparently very hawt. It's mostly the skirt, I guess... Well, anyway, I didn't see him much after that until the last day, when Patricia and I went downstairs to the food court to snag ourselves some lunch. I noticed there was an entire section of tables dedicated to the classic Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel, and there in the thick of it was that dude in the sick Org coat (still wearing it, mind). Well, after lunch, I went to the next panel that interested me, and then there was a stretch of pretty much nothing I wanted to do for two hours or so, so I went back downstairs and watched him play. Dude was pretty good, which he'd told me he'd won Regionals in 2k7, so I kind of figured on picking up some pointers. This was, of course, assuming I ever wanted to get into Dueling seriously. I'd dabbled before, but stopped because I just couldn't get the hang of the game. I had to leave once to get some food, since my lunch had worn off after a ton of running around in a bottle orgy (look it up on YouTube) and other things, and when I came back, he surprised the living daylights out of me by grabbing me around my waist and pulling me into a hug—in the middle of a duel! I was squeeing like a fangirl for a while after that. Somewhere in there, too, either before or after the eating, there was a lull in the dueling and we talked for a little. He complimented me on my outfit, and that was pretty much the opener for a five-minute conversation before a new challenger walked up. Well, after a while, there was one final panel I wanted to go to, then the closing ceremonies. I got ganged up on in the Cosplay battles, and started a major Caramelldansen event in the main hall, and when some random dude walked by and rolled his eyes at us, I was the one who started the "One of us!" chant. Well, after the crazy psycho funness was over, I went back downstairs to see if there was anything else to do, since the closing ceremonies were during the Caramelldansen event thingy I started (the Axel with the boombox was awesome sauce). I found him down there, still dueling, so I decided to stick around and watch. Well, before I knew it, I felt someone smack me upside the head, and I looked up to see my friends Michelle and Kuro. Michelle looked like she would be upset if she didn't have a certain suspicion that turned out to be correct. I managed to convince her that I'd be fine and could get back to the hotel just fine, and got some back-up in that as well. The guy I had been admiring for the past few hours offered to give me a lift back to the hotel. Well, when I was getting out of the car, he asked if we could hang out again, and set up a time for the next Tuesday. I caught a LOT of crap when I got to the hotel room. XD Anyway, that day we had set up turned out to be a bust. I was waiting for him for five hours before he finally called to tell me he had a death in the family. Oh, no, not a relative dying, he was quick to assure me. One of the hard drives in one of his many computers had gone on the fritz, and him being the computer engineer that he was, not to mention uber Apple Geek (it was one of his beloved Macs that was going down because the friend he had trusted it to for Nebkon was a retard, from what he told me), had decided he was going to stand me up to save it. Well, since he had his entire life on that hard drive, I didn't blame him, and we reset our hanging out to a later time. That was the first and only time he stood me up on a date. ;P About a month after Nebraskon, on December 13th at about 7:53pm, I was hanging out with him at his dad's, and we were talking. During that talking, he asked me to be his girl. Naturally, I accepted. We've been dating ever since. Just passed our one-year anniversary, in fact. I'm currently living with him in an apartment we rented together, and are paying for with money made at the same job with the same hours. You see, the last day of March in 2009, I got fired from my job at Panera because of too many customer complaints. Better known as I don't speak Spanish and the fact that every Hispanic to walk into Panera couldn't speak English just royally p1ss3d me off. If you're going to move to a country and live there as one of it's citizens, learn the fsking language. The name of this mystery man, the one man in my life who has managed to capture my heart? Evan. Evan B. Last name left as an initial to protect his privacy. n_n As I said, we're currently living together in a spacious one-bedroom apartment with the same job as AT&T Customer Care agents on the swing shift. I work from 3:30 to midnight every day except Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Sundays I work from 11am to 8pm. Most of my time now is taken up with work (I usually have at least 20 minutes of overtime because some people are just effing retarded when it comes to their phones), cooking for Evan, dishes, laundry, and sleep. Those projects I had listed for my last update? Sure, most of them are still underway. The Yaoi isn't, because I've gotten over that stage of my life. Actually, the Yaoi will be deleted from here if it hasn't been already. I have a chapter of a Kingdom Hearts fanfiction I'm writing based off of an epic RP I'm in called Heartfelt Adventure up and posted on Gaia, but I want to wait until I get at least a few more chapters done before I post it so I don't leave people hanging too much in the interim between. I also have a few chapters of a Legend of Mana fanfiction typed up and saved, but I might want to re-write them so that they're not ripping off Tiamat42's Descent of Mana: The Lost Swords so much. Mmm, I think that's pretty much about it for what I want to share about my life. I'm really thinking about just deleting every fanfiction I have up here except for Of Chocolate and Sweet Cherries and starting over from scratch... Even changing my username. Just thinking about it, though, nothing concrete has come out of it yet. Until the next time I add a chapter or story, happy writing and reading to you all! I know plenty of people who are bi or gay, and I don't approve of shunning anyone just because they are a little bit different than others.) | |||||||||
