I read far more Buffy fanfiction than is good for me... also into some crossovers into the Buffy fandom. Harry Potter, LOTR and Highlander esp. tend to read fic with Buffy, as the protagonist or at least one of the main characters. I dont usually like crossovers with ensemble cast as I think it gets too messy - just too many people. Especailly if you bring Angel's gang into it too. I've so rarely seen this done well. Shippers, I like Buffy/Faith at least friendship in non-crossovers and pretty much anything in crossovers, as long as it works. Oh and I love angst and tension in relationships. It's what makes life fun.

Due to... well being British, I tend to get annoyed about brit-related mistakes in fanfic (these often come up in hp crossovers)... it's just me being petty. Also as LotR has been my fav book for nearly a decade, I get annoyed when the film is followed too closely in crossovers.

When I write, I try to understand the entire background of my story. While writing Chosen, I've created a whole new history of the slayer and their watchers/gardians at different points in time - it won't often come up, but it's nice to know. And while writing Key, the Harry Potter Lexicon has suddenly become my fav site with it's comprehensive information on everything Harry Potter, as well as creating my own timeline of events for OotP. This has made me even more annoyed by authors who don't think through their plotholes (though I'm sure there's still lots in my stories, feel free to pick at them - it only gives me the fun task of figuring out how to fix them).

BtVS Characters I Like:

Buffy - pretty obvious really if you've read my fic. I like her and she suits the central role therefore I write her. If you're not a Buffy fan (the char not the show... obviously... if you find my fic at all I think I can assume you like that) I seriously doubt you'll like my fics.

Faith - she's fun to play around with, especially alondside Buffy. those two have so many issues that it's nice to bring up.

Spike (pre chip) - When he was bad he was so much fun, but when he was good he got boring.

Giles - this might just be national pride, I dunno. He's a good character to have alongside buffy - again oh the issues! - not my favorite guy, but a fun character to have.

BtVS Characters I Dislike:

Willow (later seasons) - the short version: - she pisses me off.

Xander - he inadvertantly and deliberately caused so many of buffy's problems that it's hard to like them both at once. I figure you either pity this boy or the slayer. I made my choice. so be warned... Xander is liable to die in my fiction.

Dawn - Basically her existance makes so many of the things that drive Buffy in the first four seasons irrelivent, therefore she pisses me off as she makes inconsistancies (plus she's annoying). eg Buffy's inability to share prevents her from accepting Faith as much, driving her away and assisting in her turning to the other side. If Buffy had a sister (especially one like Dawn) as she grew up, she'd be more than used to sharing. (hmm... at some point I might try to rewrite S3 with Dawn there... see what happens)

Me:

Blonde, 5'8'', Female, accident prone, almost constantly online I like reading fantasy fiction. I started reading fanfiction after Buffy ended, it became my guilty lil secret until I started writing and my lil sis found out (she's not actually young, just the youngest). She read Chosen and laughed at me (though she seemed very suprised that the writing wasn't completely terrible - she actually complimented me!), and now periodically teases me about it.

My Stories (I only seem to be able to write BtVS crossovers with Buffy as the main character):

Chosen - Crossover with Highlander - I keep coming and going with this story, partly due to issues in my life interrupting. And computers/hardrives dying taking chapters of work with them. Currently trying to continue with this.

Key to the Past - Crossover with Harry Potter - Currently on hold - at the end of '08 I did post a bit more but I'm concentrating on Chosen so this may not be finished until that is... on the other hand if I get inspiration I might post... I'm inconsistant that way. I want/feel the need to go over what I've written so far and edit it before continuing... this keeps on slowing me down (anyone who would like to beta... someone to chat to might help).
