I am a huge fan of science fiction and fantasy in general; however, to date the only fanfiction I've written centers around Pitch Black. For some reason, the Pitch Black universe and the character of Jack in particular have fired my imagination. I hope you enjoy The Road to Hell, which could easily be called Chronicles of Jack. (As it is, the title is drawn from the old saying: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions." )

There is one character element I'd like to point out. I don't consider Jack (from Pitch Black) and Kyra (from Chronicles of Riddick) to be the same person. In Road to Hell, I stick to canon, with that exception (actually, I'm not convinced it isn't sticking to canon: different actresses, different names, different personalities... different characters). In fact, I began RtH partly from a desire to explain how Jack isn't Kyra. Additionally, in any other stories that I post which feature Kyra, she is not Jack. Just thought I'd let ya know that to help avoid confusion when you are reading.

I genuinely appreciate any feedbackyou would care to give. In particular, I'd love to know how I'm doing on my characterizations, setting, plot and pacing. I think the grammar is pretty clean at this point, but if you spot any problems (typos, bad punctuation, etc.), please let me know.
