Author has written 10 stories for X-Men: The Movie, X-Men, Poppy Z Brite, Harry Potter, and Twilight. So yeah... I am a happily married RN, late 30 something, mother of two (one of which is a teenager) who happens to have a passion for well written fanfiction. I read mostly X-Men(comicverse & movieverse), Harry Potter, and Twilight fanfiction. So that's me in what I like to read for pleasure and this is me as the fanfiction writer: I started writing fan fiction at the tender age of eleven. Back then, my stories were mostly verbal dialog, focused around an original character and either the cartoon, Voltron (the lions) or the television series, V- The Final Battle. Unfortunately, I never saved any of these. I then took about a twenty year hiatus from fan fiction, and instead wrote very angsty, angry poetry throughout my teenage and early adult years. Too much angst for my own damn good. When my ff muse returned, he bamfed into my computer in the form of a German, blue, fuzzy, betailed mutant, he surprised me by whispering in my ear, that I needed to explore his character a bit... and we were all set to roll… So, I am very interested in original characters and how they relate to established storylines, and the characters contained within. I do try to steer away from including my own personal experiences and preferences in my characters, but you do write what you know, and you do know yourself the best. When there is information that I am lacking but I feel that it needs to be a part of the story, I do research, alot of research, everywhere (e.g.- tapping into the internet, my techie s.o., a gay coworker, my French speaking Scottish fencing classmate, my Grandfather (who actually has been to New Orleans), and anyone else who might be in the know.) Crossovers stories have also piqued my curiosity; I really enjoy the mesh of worlds. Whenever I find that somebody has penned a well written crossover of any of these of worlds, I am THRILLED. Do you hear me? Thrilled. What I have written, currently writing, and will eventually write: In progress: Empathic Evolution (X-Men movieverse) OC- Morgan McGowan The Burning Times (X-Men movieverse)/Empathic Evolution (OC- Morgan McGowan) Alternate Universe (AU) Broke (Twilight) Edward/Jasper All Human (AH) Completed: A Lesson in Manners (X-Men/Twilight crossover) Emma Frost/Edward Cullen -"Best be minding your manners there!" Minus One (X-men AU) Wolverine- WORLD WAR II Product Endorsement (Poppy Z. Brite- Prime) Ricky/G-Man- BUTT PASTE The Spice Must Flow (Harry Potter) Cedric/Hermoine "He who controls the Spice, controls the universe!" Tattoo of Her Name (Twilight) Jasper- Inspired by VAST song: "Tattoo of Your Name" MELT! (Twilight) Jasper/Alice- Written for the NaughtyHeels 80's contest. Future: Follow up story to Empathic Evolution (OC -Morgan McGowan/Morgan of the Faiie) Idea: What happens after Empathic Evolution X-Men (comicverse)/Drawing Blood -book by Poppy Z. Brite (Remy LeBeau/ Eddie Sung) Idea: Eddie Sung does go to a bar that night after Zachary left- she meets Remy LeBeau who is having his own bachelor party at that bar-alone. Just conversation, comfort & some slow dancing X-Men(movieverse)/Voltron(GoLion) (Remy LeBeau/Scott Summers/Voltron characters) Idea: Remy and Scott find themselves on Arus, seperated, one must remember Scott Summers is a fantastic pilot and Remy LeBeau can get himself out of any situation. Twilight(bookverse)/X-Men(comicverse)/Empathic Evolution (OC-Chelsea McFaine/Jono Starsmore/The Cullens/Forks highschool) Idea: Sophie, Claudia, and Chelsea McFaine move from their little island to Forks, Washington to protect Chelsea from the Friends Of Humanity who targeted her when her relationship to Jono became public knowledge. It didn't take too long for Chelsea to discover that the McFaines weren't the strangest thing in town. Twilight(bookverse)/Empathic Evolution (Jasper Whitlock/Alice Cullen/OC- Morgan McGowan/Jonathon Saif Patel) Alternate Universe (AU) Idea: As a member of the Talamasca, Morgan has trained many to be able to completely control their gift of empathy. She is assigned to teach an 150-year-old empathic vampire control, and hopefully not get herself killed in the process. Great Quotes: "I've done the vilest things - the foulest things - but I've done them... superbly." June Miller from Henry & June "Necrophilia is also known as the love of cracking open a cold one." It's not 'animal,' miss, it's 'Beast' ... a 'Beast' which happens to know a thing or two about the dynamic application of nano-effusive devices. Animal is a Muppet. (X-Men #70) "Knowledge without mileage equals bullshit." — Henry Rollins “The singer of a lurid song, you hear on the radio…at times, the author of a salacious novel…”- Chocolat My tweets are protected but if I see that you are a part of the ff world, I'll approve you, post haste. I just got tired of blocking people who wanted to show me their "special bits." I'm quite particular of whose special bits I want to look at. ~Laura | |||||||
