Thank you to everyone who voted! I'm going to try to update the first two over my spring break. I'm going to try my very best. But I am swamped with work to do, plus I'm also running a strong case of writer's block and clinical depression. So, if updates don't happen...just be patient!

Chapter 10 Cookie Preview...

"Syaoran heaved a long, dramatic sigh for theatrics.

"Well, Meiden, there's always a lot that I have to say, and even more that you don't want to hear," he began in perfectly measured tones.

"Oh, for God's sake, what do you want now?" Meiden spat out, clearly aggravated. "The usual, insults, wisecracks, complaints -"

"What I want," Syaoran continued smoothly, "is your complete and undivided attention, Meiden. And I think I can earn it by summing up all of my complaints and concerns and insults and wisecracks and whatnot with one word."

"I'm dying of suspense," Meiden quipped acidly. "What word would that be?"

"Sabotage." "

A rising star in an underworld espionage unit, Sakura trades her past for her present and is sworn to her job and her job only. Leave it to Syaoran, her infuriatingly irresistable partner in missions extreme and impossible, to bring out those feelings she thought she'd learned to suppress long ago...

5/4/2008: Taking an unnaturally long time to churn out chapter 10 due to plot rethinkings. I've figured it's time to stop beating around the bush and finally raise some points of importance. Sorry for the obscenely long wait, but...quality is incompromisable and so is time.

Chapter 8 Cookie Preview...

" There. It's over and done with. Well, sort of. But at least we're on even ground now.

"But um," Syaoran says to me, suddenly tentative. "I won't pretend that I didn't feel hurt when I found out - but then again, I admit that I'm not really in a position to complain, and if you like someone else, that's fine, you shouldn't hold back for a promise you made when you were ten, because that's just stupid..."

I stare at him blankly as he mutters on, ears turning red.

"What, in the name of Kami-sama, are you talking about?" I ask him, as nicely as my confusion will allow me to. "

He promised he'd come back for her. She promised to wait for him. But a misunderstanding creates a giant rift between Sakura and Syaoran. What they don't know is that jaded bookworm Sakura is really Sayuri (the famous fanfiction author), and Syaoran is Lang (her faithful beta).
