Author has written 17 stories for X-Men, Final Fantasy VIII, Harry Potter, and Song of the Lioness. I'm twenty years old and an English major at a local university. I've been writing seriously for eight or nine years, and for most of that time, I've been writing fanfiction. I like all pairings and all types of fanfiction, but for the most part, I only write short, dramatic pieces, usually with little to no romance. I've written in FFVIII, Harry Potter, X-Men, and Tamora Pierce fandoms, and the genres range from pure silliness to dark stories. When I write, it’s because I get an idea. When I write fanfiction, it’s because I get an idea about someone else’s characters. I would love to work perfectly within the boundaries of canon, but most of the time, my ideas don’t work that way. Hence, most of these stories can probably be considered “alternate universe” fics. I write when the need, fancy, or idea strikes me. It doesn’t happen very often with fanfics. I move in and out of interests and fandoms often. I hate to disappoint anyone looking for more stories in a particular vein (i.e. the Final Fantasy stories), but chances of me writing more are slim. Right now I’m having fun playing in Tamora Pierce’s beautiful, detailed universe of Tortall. I should also mention that while I have edited these myself, none of them have been beta-read. The reason for this is that I write fanfiction for fun, and while I know that having someone else read it first would help make it better and help me develop drafting skills, that simply does not matter to me that much with fanfiction. And, finally, I do not put unfinished stories here. As a reader of fanfiction, I always found that cruel, because often it meant a long (sometimes unending) wait between updates.
