The Author:
I am an 18 year old female living in a small mountain town in northern California. I have been married since 11 October 2007. I go to a small community college where I am taking care of my general education requirements, and in a few years, I'll most likely transfer up to a university somewhere in Oregon. I work at an elementary school's after-school program. I am either going to major in business or education; if I major in the former, it is likely that my husband and I will open up a comic book/children's book/game store. If I major in education, I will be getting my master's degree and teaching credentials, and hopefully getting a job teaching first, second, or third grade.
The Authored:
It is an extremely bad habit of mine not to finish stories that I start. My only explanation for this is that there are some months in which I experience an incredible burst of muse and creativity for a story, and then after a few weeks, it dies down and I have no new ideas. That is why I stick mainly to one-shots or very short stories that I know I will be able to finish. I mainly write for Degrassi, The Baby-Sitter's Club, and Harry Potter, though if I ever have any inspiration for another category, rest assured that I will start a story.
Regarding the chaptered stories I have started, but have not yet finished: it is quite likely that they will be deleted. There are perhaps two chaptered stories that I have any hope of continuing - Everything Is Illuminated (Degrassi), and See Spot Run (Harry Potter). Anything else is fair game for deletion.
Regarding the She series - I have had many, many requests to leave each one-shot as its own individual story; at the same time, I have had just as many requests to put them together in one fanfiction, but leave each as a stand alone. The only answer I can give to anyone in response to the inquiries is, "You'll know when I do". I don't know if I'll be writing anymore "She" stories, but it's likely that I will.
The Reviews:
Let's face it people - I'm not here to act like your third grade teacher and tell you that your writing is special and wonderful. I believe that as writers, everyone should be able to take criticism (even flames) in stride and learn from it. If I leave a review telling you that I believe there's soemthing wrong with your story, chances are good that there's something that isn't quite right with your story - I don't review all that often, and I wouldn't waste my time telling you something that's false. That being said, whether or not you decide to take any and all advice given is up to you, but for the love of God, do not respond to me telling me how "mean" I am. I am quite aware of how "mean" I am, thanks, and any and all messages will either be deleted, or the author will be sent a nice little "grow up" note. When I review, it is never personal. I speak matter-of-factly, and if I'm telling you that I believe something needs to be fixed, it's not likely I'll be spouting your praises in the next sentence.
