Author has written 4 stories for Gundam Wing/Sailor Moon, and Alex Rider. UPDATE Yes, I did actually manage to update (shocking, isn't it?) and yes, I have posted a new story (which I probably shouldn't have done, but it wouldn't leave me alone). I just want to let people know that I have no idea when I will post anything next. Aside from my normal... delay, we'll call it, I am going to attempt NaNoWriMo this year (attempt because I have trouble focusing on writing just one thing - hence why I have at least a dozen things in the works between fanfiction and original works). Because of that, I am going to do my best to avoid the internet (because I read way too much fanfiction when I'm on and end up wondering where the day went). If I'm lucky, I'll manage to write a chapter for Cross Out that I can post sometime this year. _; And speaking of Cross Out, once the next few chapter ideas I have are written and posted, I don't have anything concrete for chapters. If anyone would like to suggest things, I would be happy to 'hear' it (I will not promise to use it, but any suggestion - within reason - will be appreciated; so please don't ask me to change the couple). My delays in posting are usually a result of writer's block. In addition to that, my baby brother just started Kindergarten, is having issues adjusting, and I'm doing what I can to help his class in general so quite a bit of my day is taken up with helping him, helping my grandmother around the house, and generally attempting to have a life (which doesn't seem to quite be working for me -_-;). So... Any updates that are posted may be crappy or they may not come very often (not that they did in the first place). Sorry if this bothers you, but please bear with me. Thank you. oooooooooooo Progress Reports Cross Out: In progress; sporadic at best; for own amusement primarily Somnium Oris: In progress Pain to Madness: Slow progress; on hiatus Hacker: Under revision; on hiatus ooooooooooooo If anyone finds a good story, feel free to let me know. Also, if anyone writes any along the lines of the following and it is relatively realistic, please let me know (consider this a challenge if you prefer). Alex Rider / Resident Evil (the games, not the movies) Alex Rider / Army of Two (video game) Alex Rider / Stargate: SG1 Alex Rider / Assassins Creed Alex Rider / Four Brothers Harry Potter / Four Brothers ooooooooooooo I just thought I'd post the url for both my livejournal and my deviantART accounts. I haven't really used my LJ, but I'm hoping to get around to it. The DA doesn't have anything fan related - just some photos. Check them out if you like. http://psychowing.livejournal.com/ http://psychowing.deviantart.com/ ooooooooooooo I just found this and I wish so much I had found it sooner. Enjoy. The Idiot's Guide to Flaming (as stolen from ffnet author, dagget) Here it is ladies and gentlemen. I am going to personally hand out some tips on how to properly flame. Now I will admit that I've only ever been flamed once, but let me tell you that it was a sore disappointment. I was waiting for my first flame and then when it came, it was a complete flop. I've seen an awful lot of poorly executed flames here and there and I think it's about time that people start spreading the word on proper flaming before one of these idiots hurts themselves. So here are the basic rules: 1) Please have a point. I can't stress this enough people. If you think something sucks, there has to be a reason. If you have no point then there's no point in reading your review. 2) Post some literary venture of your own before you attempt a flame. Think of it as your resume. We need to see some credentials damn it! You can't just walk in off the street! How do we know if you're qualified to be making this judgment? We can't let people go around writing these things all willy-nilly. (If nothing else, it's bad form not to give us something we can flame you back for.) 3) Check your spelling and grammar. There's nothing worse then making a bunch of grammatical errors right in the middle of telling someone else what's wrong with their writing. You lose all credibility. Yeah... You hear that?... They're laughing at you! 4) Do it with style. You've heard the saying, I'm sure. 'If a thing is worth doing it's worth doing well.' If you're actually going to take the time to cut someone down, the least you could do is get their attention. A simple 'duh... it sucks George' is not gonna cut it. Seriously. If you intend to be mean, then at least try to come off like the villain, and not like one of his nameless henchmen. (think scathing) 5) Read summary warnings. Trust me. You don't want to go ripping on people for content that you were clearly warned about. That honestly only makes you look like an idiot. Wait, what's that?... Oh, they're laughing at you again! 6) Throw in some amusing word play. When you step into the arena baby, you want to show off your skills. A truly good flame entertains the crowd. That way people don't just plain hate you outright. You want them to almost look forward to more of your acerbic wit. There they are. Please feel free to rip them off and post them where ever the hell you like. Don't hesitate to let me know if there's anything that you think should be added to the list as well. I may think of some more later myself. Invariably you think of more of them when you happen to see a poorly executed flame. It's a real problem and we need to get people educated on the issue. I'd like to finish with a moment of silence for all the poor, lame little flames out there who never really had a chance... ooooooooooooo Normally I'm not for the "If you (blank), put this in your profile," but I actually like this one: If you can read this message, you are blessed because over two billion people in the world cannot read at all: I cdnuolt blveiee taht I cluod aulaclty uesdnatnrd waht I was rdanieg. The phaonmneal pweor of the hmuan mnid. Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at Cmabrigde Uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoatnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer be in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a taotl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae the huamn mnid deos not raed ervey lteter by istlef, but the wrod as a wlohe. Amzanig huh? Yaeh and I awlyas toghuht slpeling was ipmorantt! tahts so cool! If you could read that put it in your profile Here's a second one, slightly altered from where I got it from: Ninety-five percent of the kids out there are concerned with being popular and fitting in. If you're part of the five percent who aren't, why the hell would you put this into your profile with the names of a bunch of other people who are doing the same thing? | |||||||
