Author has written 21 stories for Harry Potter, Torchwood, and Star Trek: 2009. Hiya! :) This is Briony, or Bri if you want! I am currently at an age of 21, although... funny thing is, I don't feel that age. In fact, I don't really feel like any age... my friend describes me as ageless, so we'll go with that ;) I live in New Zealand which is honestly the best place in the world to live. I know, I know, I am biased... but I like to think my opinion of our beautiful country has some founding in fact ;) I'm your typical university student - little time, study study study! -wipes forehead- But I'm lucky, because my lecturers are not boring and actually quite amusing. So, along with study, my number one favourite thing to do is to write. I love writing, and I'm certain that I always will. I'm in my 4th year, and studying English Literature, fittingly enough! I am currently working my way through my first year of postgraduate study, which is amazing so far! So much more work than undergraduate though...! -wipes forehead again and stocks up on coffee- I actually studied Philosophy at undergrad level too, which I really love, so I suppose you could call me a bit of a thinker. Not really sure what I'm going do with all of this yet, but I'm sure it will all come clear... I suppose the main downside about all this study is that I can't seem to find that much time to write. It's pretty heartbreaking, actually, and I'm working on making time to write, but... I seem to be cursed with an unparalleled ability to procrastinate! -cringe- Any advice, or motivation, would be honestly appreciated! :) The fandom that brought me to find this awesome website is Harry Potter. I used to be an absolute fanatic (in a good way, of course!) - although I don't write/read it as much now. Sad, but time goes on. My favourite pairings HarryDraco, and RemusSirius, just because they are both so darn cute! After drifting away from fanfic for a wee while, my obsession with Torchwood brought me solidy back! It's weird, but true, that I can't seem to like something half-heartedly. Meh. Anyways, I ship JackIanto, although you probably would have guessed that... -drools- so sweet! :) I can't help adoring Tosh, and definitely have a soft spot for Owen. And Gwen, actually! Even the minor characters, Rhys, Andy and John Hart are brilliant... they are all fascinating, in their own way. :) I'm into Sherlock Holmes as well, originally thanks to the recent film(s), but now that we have the spectacular BBC modern version Sherlock... WOW. Just. Wow. My mind is continually blown, in the best possible way. Ahem. As you can see, I'm a great slash fangirl. Most recently, I have fallen head over heels for the Star Trek: XI film. I just adore both Jim and Spock... there's a reason that they were the original slash pairing, after all! I've also developed an entirely heathy obsession with Bones... I mean, Karl Urban, fellow Kiwi and everything! -fans self- It's also led me to fall a little (or a lot) in love with the JimBones pairing... I can't really explain it, because it's the first time I've ever shipped someone (ie. Jim) with more than one person (ie. both Spock, and Bones - mostly separately... teeheee), but I can't help it. Both pairings are just so fascinating, as Spock would say! I'm currently watching Star Trek: TOS and absolutely loving it! Pure. Genius. Anyways. I get a lot of inspiration for fics and such from song lyrics. I'm not sure why, but I just seem to picture a scenario sometimes, and just can't shake it. I couldn't pin down a single preferred genre if you paid me to - as long as the lyrics, or melody, or vocals actually, are good... well, I'll be sold! I do have a soft spot for soundtrack music though, usually because it's so evocative of certain scenes or feelings :) Anyways, have fun!
