Bo selectah! Just a little background on me: I'm a female college student from the USA. I obviously like to write, and I also like to draw and read and play video games (obviously, I'm a Final Fantasy VI fan). Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The Syndicate wasn't always oppressive; they had gained power through the preservation of life. But once they realized they held the City, the last living bastion of humanity, in the palm of their hand... salvation turned to repression, to a rule of fear and punishment. But not all cower in awed fear. The rebel factions- the Shishi, the Shinsengumi, the Sekihoutai, Oniwabanshu...- fight to free the people from beneath the Syndic bootheel.

QUESTIONS

Why do you spell some things the British way? Aren't you American?

Yeah... I blame the internet. I AM from the USA, but I had some British friends online when I was younger, and they corrupted me. Evidently, it's great fun to tease me about spelling things the 'wrong way' (read: the American way). In defense, as a sort of joke, I started spelling some things the Brit way. And then it became habit, and now I don't notice so much when I'm doing it. Sometimes Microsoft Word fixes them to be the American spelling (especially the 'ise' vs. 'ize' words), but other times it doesn't.

Are you going to write a sequel for this fic / in this fandom again?

I can't say for sure one way or the other. I write what my brain brings me, or at least try to. I can never tell when inspiration will strike, or for what fandom. (Although Rurouni Kenshin is a very good candidate)

How do you get the strange symbols in the Japanese names/words, as in: the 'o's with dashes over them?

Copy and paste. I find the spelling I want online somewhere, and just copy and paste it. I like them better. They look cleaner to me, much more preferable than the putting 'ou' in words for the long o sound. As in Saitou. It just looks kinda awkward to me, so I avoid it as much as I can. Of course, if I'm being really lazy, or don't have internet access, I revert to that.
