Good day to you, dear fellow readers and writers.

I would like to take advantage of this free space to give you some insights about me and my stories. First of all, for those of you who care about the person behind the quill... I’m French, male, and over 30 years old. I started using this site to read some wonderful stories – most of them centred on Harry Potter – and decided to start writing some in March 2005. Once I started, I couldn’t stop, and my first story had quickly reached 277777 words, a size that I thought impressive before. Especially as I initially thought of writing "only" 20 chapters. My second story is slowly nearing the 600000 words milestone, keeping me awake at night. I have other stories in the works, too, some of them not even published yet. A thing about my stories: generally, the first chapters are short, and the pace speeds up afterwards (don’t abandon reading there). I also seem to almost always write AUs. Just for you to know... it doesn't mean that JKR's Harry travels between worlds, just that I'm not aligned to canon - especially as most of my stories start before Harry goes to Hogwarts.

You will find information about all my stories here, and I invite you to read them, and to send a review to comment on them. I must tell you that, on this site, authors aren’t allowed to answer to reviews in the chapters anymore, so don’t feel bad if I don’t answer a particular request of yours. Know that I read all of them, and still try to reply inline, either by updating the concerned chapter, or by inserting the appropriate answer in the flow of a subsequent chapter.

I particularly dislike the pseudo-legal mumbo-jumbo we are compelled to insert here and there, so I’ll try to be brief about it: I don't own anything related to the Harry Potter universe (or any other fiction universe I could broach later): everything belongs to their rightful owners. I’m not making money from this either. I just borrowed ideas to write these little stories – most of them Alternate Universe – as a hobby. Except from that, the ideas of arranging the characters and the plots belong to me – even if we are many writers using the same leads. Note that, to keep the plot near the original works, there might be spoilers on each of the published books, even if some facts and character appear at different moments than the timeline of the story I write. Finally, I have included mythical and historical events and people here and there; don’t forget that it’s still fiction, though. No harm intended to religions, historians... and people.

I also want to warn some of my eventual readers that I live somewhere where free speech and publication is authorized. I don't happen to sell anything nor invite anyone to do anything - except read and review. I especially do not condone violence. The things I write are pure products of my imagination, and I might even develop different points of views in different stories. These points of view may or may not address varied topics, including religion and deity, science and technology, politics and diplomacy, as well as sociological problems. If you really abhor what I write, you are free to review (once will be enough, thanks) and to stop reading. My personal view on this rejoins Ben Franklin’s saying: “I won’t be bitten by the word "dog" on a piece of paper.”

As all authors here, I'd like a review from time to time, so, if you think I can improve something, or if you just feel like dropping a word, go ahead, it's free. If you like my writings, note that you might even speed up their posting by boosting my self-confidence. I thank all the reviewers who did so, leaving encouraging or insightful comments. As English isn’t my first language, I was a bit anxious at the readers’ reaction but you confirmed that I could do it – despite my lack of beta – and I'm continuing. I might still make occasional errors, and I'm sorry in advance for them.

Now, my stories...

This finished story is a Harry Potter Alternate Universe branching off from the end of "Chamber of Secrets". Harry is hurt beyond recognition, and he’ll try to start a new life, but some ties can’t be severed easily, and some powers can’t be acquired without a price. There will be animagus and metamorphmagus abilities, mental health and memory troubles, books and Technomancy (muggle science applied to the magical world), and Elementals. One important note: if you think this is a linear story, beware! Brace yourself for violence and strong feelings. Death and other unpleasant events can and will occur. Also know that Harry will act very mature for his age.

Genres are Action/Adventure and some Romance, with Spiritual insights as well. The story is rated M (mature teens) for adult situations (not a euphemism for sex, here) and violence (if you think it’s a bit overprotective, drop me a note). It also features a Harry/Ginny pairing with several twists (which means that a large part of the story is without H/G, in fact), also Ron/Hermione and then Ron/Luna.

The title changed from "The Hunt" because there were many similar titles in base, and then from "Hunting for a Missing Child": the new title reflects more about the multiple hunts in there. Who hunts who, in fact? It is a HP AU as well, and starts before canon. Dumbledore and his associates put Harry in care of the Dursleys and never checked on him afterwards. They should have, because the Dursleys are now missing, and Harry can’t be found either. If he can’t be found, how could he enter Hogwarts? Does he even know about his legacy? And what are those muggle "Secret Services" doing in the picture? Some ancient prophecies are underway, too, and praise the gods that their outcome won’t be lethal.

As usual, this story started with an idea and branched on several others. Expect to find a powerful and mature Harry and a manipulative Dumbledore. Muggle science, history, and deities involved. Pairings won't appear until later, as the main characters' age deem them irrelevant. The main genre is Action/Adventure, but there will also be run-ins with real-world modern History (many reviewers told me they loved that), pinches of Humour, morsels of Science, hints of Romance, Spiritual concepts, Political issues, a few Tragedies, and my usual bits of Poetry. Quite the package. As usual, I might be a little overprotective in my rating: I gave it a T. There will be violence and its eventual outcome, though, and the whole thing is quite complex to understand, which is why I wouldn’t want too young and impressionable minds to be blown away. Read on if you aren’t that young or impressionable.

Another HP AU starting before canon, but this one is on hiatus. In here, young Harry suffers from his familial environment, but something will happen, and he’ll be taken away. Some people won’t like it, though, and will presumably react strongly. I have some good ideas to write, but, taken as I am with my current project, I didn’t have time to build a proper storyline. I should perhaps tell you that some of those ideas came from a few dreams I got... you’ll excuse me if it’s still fuzzy at this point. And, no, they weren't wet.

The story will be Action/Adventure/Romance... eventually. As for the rating, I’ll settle to my customary overprotective T. Pairings are to be decided at a later date, and the story’s final length won’t be known before I actively work on it.

And yet again, this is a HP-AU-starting-before-canon (it seems I can’t write anything else for the moment). In this story, the fact that the wizards didn’t check on Harry is tragic. All they know is that he defeated the Dark Lord when he was one. They don’t know how, and they don’t even know if he suffered from it. Add to that his violent relatives, and his Sorting is going to be one of the memorable ones. This story was initially a one-shot, but it developed a sequel (read: “second chapter”). It’s my first try at writing something vaguely resembling Tragedy (for the first chapter). Tell me if I failed lamentably.

It seems that I’m doomed to write HP AU starting, you guessed it, before canon. This one starts in 1981. Or is it earlier ? Voldemort intended to kill the whole Potter family, but something unexpected happened. Right afterwards, the Dark Lord must face the result of a severely twisted Prophecy as well as a very old acquaintance. This story is very alike Mastermind Hunting, in fact, except that it involves a much larger history scale, and extreme time travel. As such, it will also eventually contain historical facts, behaviour models, and religious views not in usage in our society. Don’t sue me if you don’t like it, I merely write this for the fun of the readers. And mine, of course. Just for you to know – because that won’t be evident before the appropriate chapters – this story will be a crossover with another established fantasy realm. Or several.

It is now a year later (the ominous 7/7/7), and I realize I haven't updated much. What with working full-time during the week, and full-family-time during the weekends...

I swear I haven't abandoned my stories, but, in order to give you worthy reading material, I need many uninterrupted stretches of several hours. And I don't have that luxury at the moment. Nor do I have the brainpower needed to sustain my muse after a day of... "computing".
