I am sorry to announce that the administrators of FanFiction.net have seen fit to remove Molly Weasley's Practical Guide to Magical Childcare from archive here. The email I received said it was removed for violations of guidelines (and offered me a link to said guidlines) but failed to mention which guideline the story violated. The email contained an empty set of quotation marks where the explaination should have appeared.

I was baffled. Molly's Guide is a genfic, rated for everyone without even a hint of vulgarity. My reviewers were gracious enough to tell me it was genuinely funny and heartwarming. The story was beta'd extensively (three pre-betas and one PhoenixSong/ Perfect Imagination Accredited Beta looked over each chapter) and formatted properly. I have no idea how my story could possibly have violated any of FF.net's guidelines.

Since the email failed to give a valid address for replies, I turned to FF.net's support area. (Which was extremely difficult to find, by the way. The phrase "on display in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet, stuck in a disused lavatory with a sign on the door reading 'beware of the leopard.'" comes easily to mind. - Thank you Douglas Adams.)

As of March 5, 2006, I have waitedsix weeksfor a reponse to the 'ticket' I submitted asking for explaination of the 'violations' they found in my story. Since my request has languished unheaded, I have little hope of receiving a response.
