| Teddy.syn |
Author has written 2 stories for Yu-Gi-Oh. A general overview Name: Teddy (the .syn is homage paid both to my love of computer technology (the . and the three letter extension) and to my love of the web comic called Honeydew Syndrome, widely known as HoneySyn.) Age: Older and older, every day. For sure old enough to be reading M content. Location: Likely somewhere with computer access... though I'm not quite sure on that one. Gender: Debatable. Further inquiry required. Likes: Chocolate, almost anything Reeses. Cheese. J-Rock, jazz, classical. Feathers. Bright colors, primary and secondary, and bold colors: black and white. Turbulence (as in on airplanes. I'm not fond of emotional turbulence). The name James (especially James Edward). Warm places, rain, lightning (electricity in general, but lightning is quite pretty). Non human animals, especially canines (including foxes and coyotes, and especially very big dogs) and large cats (including the small ones: bobcats, margays, ocelots). Most things larger than humans: couches, elephants, trees. Long words, short words, and medium-length words, especially when arranged in such a manner as to create a complete and interesting sentence; grammar. Birds of prey, tiny birds: thrushes, finches, sparrows. Clockwork and logic. Dislikes: Sour things, most candies. Cheese rinds, tomatoes, celery. Gravel, sulfur, grape stems. Dull colors: pastels; neutral colors: grays and tans, beige. Riding around in cars with really excellent shocks. Cold, in any form: places, body parts (feet and fingers, especially), things: ice. Blustery days/nights, thunder, cloud cover. Most people. Small dogs: chihuahuas, toy poodles. Excessive consumption of soda/carbonated beverages. Many things smaller than humans: gnats, mosquitoes, scissors, invasive weeds, brussel sprouts, forks (as in cutlery), rubber ducks. People who are rude, stupid, or mean. Carpets that aren't symmetrical. Getting in touch: The most viable way of getting in touch with me during the year is e-mail. I cannot stress that enough. Unless I get roped into some family thing that takes all day, or go on vacation somewhere without internet access, I check my e-mail multiple times a day, and make sure to never let it go for more than two days at a time. If I know I won't be able to use the computer for a while in advance, I'll make a note somewhere. Reviewing is the second most likely way of reaching me in a timely manner. If you are on my favorite authors list, or if your story is on my favorite stories list, and you leave a message for me in your most recently updated chapter, it is unlikely that it will take me more than a week to get your message. People have used this method on me before. It works because I read authors notes (my reasons for this basically boil down to: I only use authors notes for things that seem important... such as apologizing to my readers. I appreciate it when people read my author's notes, and thus I feel obligated to return the favor.) AIM is as AIM goes--I check it often enough, but you're more likely to reach me if you e-mail me through FF . net--using the messaging system, for instance. You can also e-mail me from your private e-mail address, but the first time you do that try to write a message that tells me why you're e-mailing me pretty quickly. You could leave a note in the subject line, for instance, that says something about one of my stories or says "looking for a beta" or something. If I get a convoluted e-mail that makes little sense, I will delete it without responding. One last note. This hasn't been a problem for me in relation to this site, and I hope it never will be, but it has been a problem in general. I'm giving out my e-mail address to make myself accessible, so I can help you or allow you to help me. Don't send me chain letters or spam. I'll never ever do it to you and you should never ever do it to me. If you absolutely need to make your quota to ensure a meteor doesn't strike you dead for not sending the message to 10 people in an hour, ask me for my mule address and I'll give it to you. Otherwise, keep it to yourself--even if you think it is so cute or so funny and you're sure I'll just love it. I won't. And in order to protect myself and my time, I'll set up a filter to get rid of all your messages to me. My AIM screen names are shukumeinamonai and shukublahblahbla. Call me Teddy.syn or say something about Signs of Flirting or Playing for Keeps so that I know you're somehow related to FF . net, please.
