~Cleone~
"Well, like a lot of other dictators, there is one man's opinion I value above all others. Mine."
-Stephen Colbert
Who is Cleone? Cleone is a Greek goddess of water and daughter of Asopos. Asopos is the god of springs, and his name means "Never Silent".
Original Pen-Names: Rurouni Linda-sama, The Tao of Hyuuga, Ortuna
My name's Linda.
I Love:
-Naruto (and a lot of other anime but that's my all-time favorite.)
-Jon Stewart
-Stephen Colbert
-Dane Cook
-And The Office.
I'm seventeen and love my 2000 Ford Mustang.
I'm an aspiring model, but I do love to write and I think I have a flair for it.
I work at Zumiez, selling graciously over-priced Roxy and Fox Racing clothing to punk bitch wannabe skaters.
I'm not the typical anime nerd. I don't have a Hot Topic/Vampire/Elf/Blood fetish. In fact, I hate all those things. I shop at Aeropostale and Hollister, I have a social life, and I'm preppy and fun.
ACTUALLY, WOULD YOU MIND IF I RANT FOR A MINUTE? NO? GOOD:
If I ever see the following posted in your profile, I will send you as much bestiality porn as possible:
92 percent of the teen population would be dead if Abercrombie and Fitch or Hollister said it wasn't cool to breath anymore. Repost if your one if the 8 percent who would be laughing your butt off.
Now honestly, those of you who re-post that statement are probably ardent Hot Topic slaves and My Chemical Romance fans, and I'm sure that if either of the two told you to cut yourself and put burning crucifixes in your neighbors yard, you would do it because, OMG, it's soooooooooo GOTH!
I can honestly say that yes, at one time I did dress in the overpriced garb of Hot Topic, but I realized that after a while, I looked hideous in that shit and that no one could take me seriously while I was wearing a shirt with a bunny saying "Go suck my cock". It's ugly. It's vomit-inducing. It's an insult to the world of fashion.
I say with pride that I shop at Abercrombie and Hollister, and that even though I wear their clothing, I would never die for a store. So suck on THAT, you wannabe goth bitches.
HMPH.
(I wonder how much of my readership I've lost after that rant...-_-')
And now about my writing:
I've been on fanfiction.net since I was eleven (WAY before it had this fancy search engine and story stats and all that whatnot). Back then, I was writing crappy Inuyasha fics and Mary Sues. Now I mainly write for the Naruto fandom, which has grown at an insane rate just in the past year. In fact, it is now the anime fandom with the most stories (yes, even more than Inuyasha and Yu-Gi-Oh, which amazes me; I remember when it only had about 200 stories in its' archive).
The reason I write for the Naruto fandom is because of how flexible the storyline of the series is and because of the many different fanfiction opportunities it presents. As you can see, my Naruto fanfics are very varied in their plots and even in their time periods and settings.
I'm an author on here, not a reader, so you will rarely see me read and review a story. But if you'd like me to do so for one of your fics, just let me know.
My original pen name was Rurouni Linda (some stories you might remember from that account were "Seven-Love Filled Days, "Shika Shika Paradise", "True", and "Tears of the Darkness"). That account was deleted a few years ago due to the fact that I had some rather explicit sex scenes in my stories, so I started this account. Recipe for Success is a remnant from that account, so I re-posted it on this one. I really do wish I had some of those other stories on my computer, because they were quite good.
My hero back in the day was an author by the name of Love from Vikky. She was only fourteen when she wrote her stories, but they were some of the best fics I've ever read. Unfortunately, she quit writing some time ago (I'm guessing she's in college now), but her account is still up.
My stories contain original characters, some minor, some major. I have never gotten complaints about my characters being Mary Sues. They are fully developed and are important to my stories. I believe they are good to model after if you want to add an original character to your story.
Unfortunately, I don't update my stories as much as I used to. Truth be told, I'm just incredibly lazy. But I promise you that every single one will be finished.
On Flames:
I can take flames pretty well (if besides saying that I'm a cock-craving dil-hole that sucks at writing, they include some constructive criticism). But if you decide you just absolutely despise every single one of my stories and flame every single chapter of every single one of them...that's when I'll flip a bitch.
On Pairings in My Stories:
Most of my recent stories are SasukexHinata, and it will probably stay that way, at least for the time being. I haven't written a SasukexNaruto in years (with the exception of Freedom, which I work on seldomly), though I still advocate the pairing.
Why this lack of shounen ai? To put it simply, I'm a straight female, and I feel now that I can only put real, raw emotion and real-life experiences into a romance story involving a male and female. My SasuNaru stories are quite old, and I feel that they lack genuine emotion and that they are only the horny ravings of a young fan-woman who has know idea what gay men actually do.
No, I've not become a homophobe, nor have I quit the fandom for religious reasons. I just feel that SasuHina is much more up my alley, and that is the fandom I've become well-known for writing for. :)
My Advice to New Writers:
At one point in time, we were all newbie writers. And unfortunately, most newbie writers are not exactly the greatest writers. I know that for a fact: my first fanfics were AWFUL, and the reviewers let me know without much mercy.
Yes, it HURTS to get something you put your heart into get the shit criticized out of it. But you must realize that more than anything that criticism will help you to become a better writer. If it wasn't for those authors five years ago telling me that I could use some major improvment, I wouldn't be the writer I am today.
So to all the newbs: keep at it, even if all you get are flames. Someday, you will write an incredible story that everyone will love.

ANNOUCEMENTS!
June 16, 2007 (12:43 am): Ah, my dear faithful readers...
School has been over for a while now, but now I have another great challenge to deal with: a full-time job. 7:30-4:00, Monday-Friday (not that it's important, but 9.24 an hour too. XP).
Not to fear though! I will start updating my more popular stories (such as Highest Bidder and Believe) and maybe some of the others I've been neglecting as well.
But for now, I'm a bit too tired, but hopefully we'll see a new chapter up today. :)
Please please PLEASE vote in my poll! This will help me determine which stories should be updated the most often!
~And finally, thank you to everyone who's read and reviewed any of my stories! You are truly awesome! I hope to sometime in the near future return the favor.~
