Counter Spark:
UPDATE (5/31/08): Okay, so scratch my last update. If you can recall, I said that I was "done with fanfiction more or less" and blah, blah, blah, etc. Yeah...I changed my mind. : Now a lot of what I said remains the same- I don't think I'll ever again begin a multi-chapter fic, what with so many other things happening in my life and the fact that I need to now start focusing in on my original writings. But what WILL be happening is one-shots...lots of one-shots. I'm finding that the one-shot is a great writing excericise, and most of the time I can knock it out in one long, fun-filled sitting, so yeah...I'm not completely done like I claimed I would be.
So the future for Counterspark? One-shots galore. And goodness...the Key is really starting to get at me. I can't believe I abandoned it. Now maybe, and this is a BIG MAYBE, I might come back to it. But if that happens (mainly if I get supremely bored this summer), the first thing I'm going to do is rewrite the first chapter (I think it really sucks compared to the others). It's really tugging at my heartstrings though. I have a desire to finish it...it just depends if I ever find the time. But the fact that I left Hermione and Draco hanging like that...it's getting to me...
The Key: Wow, I'm toe-tally enjoying this story and apparently you guys are too, so my new goal is to- NO MATTER WHAT- do all in my power to make this the first chapter-fic that I will finish. I've got some twists and turns in my mind for that one, so be awaiting the next chapters!
Sad Truths: Hmm...I still am very much interested in this one, I must say. I was a little downhearted about the sort of steady decline in reviews that I've been receiving (the first chapter I got 21 reviews, the most recent one I got 6), but I think I'm going to put at least one more chapter up and see what response I get before I totally give up on it. So, in other words, if you really don't want this story to die out, tell me so I know you want more of it. Otherwise, I don't know if we'll be able to see what will happen between our beloved winged Angel and his lovely lady Storm. Sad, I know...but true (hahah...title reference. I'm witty).
Other Stuff: As for plans for future projects, I do have a Love Actually story in the works, although I don't know when I'll be able to focus in on it, what with The Key taking up most of my energy. It was intended to be a one-shot, but I think now it's going to be at least a seven chapter story. We'll see where that one goes. OH, and by the way, it's a Mark/Juliet pairing. I love them crazy Brits.
Also I had plans as well for a POTC fic about my one-eyed love Ragetti, and I finished the first chapter a long time ago, but I don't know if I'll ever have time to continue it. One of these days I'll probably decide to put it out there and see what response it gets and then go somewhere from there. But other than that, read, review, and all that jazz. I LURF YOO GUYS DEARLY!
Hello all you fastasic, fanfiction-reading kiddos! My name is Leah, and I am currently at a loss for words, thus I will pump you up with useless information in which you will find very compelling to say the least. Enjoy!
Stuff: Let's talk about books! I love the readin', and I must say that Stephen King is the author who delights me the most. I only started reading his books recently, but I feel like that has shaped me the most in my style And Misery was gruesome!
Also, we mustn't forget the classics in my book, such as Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Hitchhiker's Guide. You know I bee lovin' me sumz a-that.
Favorite Literary Characters: Draco Malfoy, Peregrin Took, Merry Brandybuck, Arthur Dent, Fenchurch (awww), and just about everybody from every Stephen King book who wasn't evil or CRAZY.
More Stuff: As for music, I love that, too. In my old profile I just about listed it all and it was too much, so I'll just tell you my favs which include Wilco, Rilo Kiley, Smashing Pumpkins, Sondre Lerche, and Pixies. Those are the basics in my book. And for TV,I am loving all things Lost, especially Charlie, hehe. Also, I will always be an Arrested Development junkie, as well as a Firefly junkie. And I love House MD. As far as reality television is concerned, I love Project Runway to death.
As for all of my works, I am currently changing things up- I find myself progressing, and as soon as I launchsome more stories that I am actually proud of, I'll probably do a mass clearing of all my old junk, which includes my endless amount of DHr one-shots as wellas sappy Firefly one-shots. Right now my time is devoted towards"The Pilgrimage", which I am intent on seeing to the end. Also, there is a DHr story in the works.
Anyway, enjoy what you can, hate what you can, love what you can...just do something!
