I am happy to have found this site to post fanficiton for The Outsiders and Tour of Duty.
I began writing a few years ago in the genre of Tour of Duty, a television show about the Vietnam War. I really appreciate all of the encouragement I got at that time from my small writing community.
In October of 2004 I found the fanficiton website and was so surprised to see thousands of writers who love to extend stories from all different areas of media. It was then I realized I had a story in my head and an established audience so I started Family Bond. Everyone's enjoyment and encouragement of the story helped me to keep busy on the story. Then something happened that I never assumed would. I continued on and on with the Scout saga and the readers followed! I must say I am so happy to have everyone reading along. Everyone's comments and reviews have been very enjoyable and motivating!
After almost a year of writing (sixty six chapters andmore tocome)on the same storyline I still have chapters and chapters of material in my head, I think this have become an obsession:-) It's okay though, it's all been fun!
I would have never enjoyed writing this much if it wasn't for those who helped and encouraged me along the way. These friends with names and no faces have been so nice over the years. For this reason I am always willing to help other writers as well, just ask.
After the Scout Curtis writings- if there ever is an ending... I plan to do a cross over story about Sodapop being sent to Vietnam. I am excited to do this one, but haven't exactly come up with the full plot. I sure it will develope all in due time.
