Hey, it's always been a favorite quote of mine. A quick note that got lost over the years I've been here--I 'paint' with an intense brush. But I don't do it without reason. Bear that in mind when reading my fics, and I hope the intensity doesn't drown out the reason for writing with intensity in the first place. Well. Apparently in FF.net's bid for total domination of the appearance and pacing of fictional works by forcing everyone to use horizontal bars for everything rather than the standard that one is liable to find in a printed book, that is, a few asterisks, some dashes, or a blank space to show scene breaks and shifting POVs, they've gone and stuffed up the formatting on almost all of my fics. Thanks a lot, FF.net. I always knew you cared about your long-time users that would just love to go through and reformat hundreds of thousands of words worth of fanfiction dating back years just to conform to your current madness. Sorry readers--I'm not going to do it. Too much work only to know they'll stuff up the formatting yet again someday, as well as kill half the plain old spaces between words...
