Naruto/Pretty much anyone but Sakura - that one needs to be written really, really well.

Rant:

A lot of authours worry about overpowering Naruto, with the way Kishimoto seriously under develops Naruto it's easy for him to seem uber powerful if he's developed logically. When I first got into the series/manga, I was attracted by Naruto's potential - his healing rate, for instance, should mean that he could develop his physical assets at a phenomenal rate and combined with the Kage Bunshin method of training Kakashi later reveals with Yamato (and which I damn him for not revealing to his student earlier - say when he was facing Neji in the Chunin exams and he didn't even have the decency to train him.) should mean that he just needed a competent teacher for his potential to shine through and become reality. Sadly, what we got was Jiraiya and his limiting of Naruto by turning him into a Sasuke wanabe - relying on an outside power that isn't even as reliable as Sasuke's. At least Sasuke's allows him to keep control during a fight and access to his arsenal of jutsus. After a two and a half year training trip we have a Naruto who still can't create a Rasengan one handed - a major handicap - and has a limited jutsu range, which wouldn't be so bad if he at least utilized all he had and mastered them. Instead he ignores the toad contract. The Suriken Kage Bunshin and Bunshin Bakuha would be great additions to his arsenal, but are not thought to him. Heck, even some basic training weights, with some taijutsu training would have been appreciated. I mainly watch the series out of loyalty now, hoping to see an improvement. I started to watch a show called Naruto, not Sasuke or Uchiiha. How such a cold bastard could have such a large fanbase eludes me. Women are always saying they're looking for a nice guy, then they fall for the temes of the world. That whole "he's a nice guy underneath it all, he just needs the right woman to bring it out.: pfft. Stop deluding himself. There's no crying child beneath the cold exterior yearning to get free. My fav quote? "I always liked you because I knew that there was an innocent child beneath that cold exterior yearning to be free, but then I realized that beneath that innocent child... you're still a bastard."
