Author has written 4 stories for Song of the Lioness, Harry Potter, and Pride and Prejudice. Bonjour mes amies! Thanks for taking the time out to check my profile. My name is Cindy. I live in Australia, the great land down under and am currently a proud 18 years of age. I'm going to start my second year of university this year...I'm a med student...(can you believe it?)...and I think of myself as a repressed artistic soul... I love regency men, vampires and wizards...in short everything I can't have... Hey...gotta hope, right? I thought it was time to update this profile so that I no longer sounded like a preppy fourteen year old with a crush on some random emo band...I am now a mature 18 (going on 5) and enjoying the benefits that wisdom and age have brought me...I think. My one passion and love in life is writing...no one and nothing has measured up to it right now and I seriously doubt there will ever be anything else to usurp its position in my heart...(boyo, you know I'm talking about ya, so GIVE IT UP!) Loves: So much!!! Yet...so little...currently crushing on...well...no one...which is sorta new...huh, well what do you know? It is possible! Likes: Being lazy, sleeping in, reading, ETC. Oh and defying my parents to within an inch of the law...hey, they gotta get grey hair sooner or later! Hates: Early mornings, being cold, people who don't appreciate the genius of Jane Austen just because her stories were written in the 1800's and show a little more refinement than a random hook up in a drug/alcohol induced haze, oh and mushy overdone romance. Last one especially. Favourite movies: She's the man (go see it, its great), pride and prejudice, Troy, the harry potter movies, what a girl wants, two weeks notice and many, many more! Actually...maybe 'the count of Monte Cristo' (though it was horrendously chopped up)...actually...Bourne Ultimatum was really good though it did give me motion sickness...Oh and I've seen Cashback (the one with Sean Biggerstaff in it) and if you don't mind a little artistic nudity then it was quite good...though slightly Lizzie M-ish minus the distorted cartoon conscience. Oh...ITV version of persuasion...so cute! Does the North and South mini series count as a movie? Favourite authors: Tamora Pierce, J.K Rowling, Jane Austen, Anne Bishop, Cynthia Voigt, Gail Carson Levine, Phillip Pullman, Sherwood Smith, Margaret Atwood, L.J Smith, Vivian Vande Velde, Garth Nix, Elizabeth Gaskell and Alexandre Dumas. There are more but I can't remember right now. Favourite Books: Mmm...PRIDE & PREJUDICE (let me break it down to the simplest manner in which most cavemen could easily comprehend...ME LOVE DARCY!), persuasion (Wentworth!!!), the count of Monte Cristo (vastly different from the movie let me assure you)...and anything to do with vampires (mmm...darling bite me!)...oh oh oh...and North and South...but only because Mr. Thornton is so darn irresistable! Dunno what else to say...umm, I guess that's it. Ok...about my favourite pairings... Tamora Pierce: Kel/Dom, Kel/Neal Daine/Numair, Daine/Kaddar Alanna/Jon, Alanna/Liam, Alanna/Gary Sandry/Briar J.K Rowling: Hermione/Blaise Hermione/Draco Hermione/Tom Oliver/Katie Cedric/Hermione On a very serious note...please...for the love of GOD! BUDDAH! ELVIS! DRACO MALFOY DOES NOT LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!! Oh and Tom Felton is not Draco though he does portray him very well in the films. I guess it's no surprise when I tell you who my favourite actors and singers are so here goes... Ok...are you ready for this??? ANYONE WITH TALENT! They all deserve a little recognition for what they do, young or old...(Paris, Lindsay, Nicole, I'm averting my eyes from you!) Here are the statuses on my stories: 1.Truths come early-ON HOLD FOREVER 2.Disappearing-SORRY! ONE HOLD FOREVER 3.Mistakes and misconceptions-Chapter 15 up today (28/04/07). Done. Complete. Epilogue is up as well. It's been good. 4.The new transfer-no more chappies, just hope you enjoy the one giant one. ----------------------------- Ok...now...for pending projects. (will get around to them when I finish conquer a cynic over on fictionpress) 1. Another P&P spinoff...may do a modern one...may not...it will not be a sequel to Mistakes 2. Draco, Hermione pairing...I've started one in which their little romance is set in Troy...yummy...Draco in a skirt! 3. Something for sailor moon category. SereEndy. SenshiGenerals 4. Sherwood Smith-about Danric and Mel...not so sure on this one as I can't remember the plot too well. (who needs that?) Ok...most of these stories won't get written as I'm planning to focus on fiction rather than fanfiction from now on...but since I don't have the heart to completely abandon my days of lovely fanfiction...I do plan on adding a few more stories to my portfolio. Ok...sidenote: All those who believe J.K Rowling lost her marbles when she paired Hermione with Ron, raise you hand!!! I mean for god sakes...who names their kid Hugo these days...its like a natural invitation for the kid to be bullied and made fun of in school... God knows its bad enough for him to have a father like Ronald Weasley... Woah...I have nothing against red heads, I find them rather cute...but come on! Ron with Hermione! Ok. Here's my logic. Hermione is a very intelligent girl. Intelligent girls need guys who have a shred of wit, an ounce of sarcasm and a mind which is fit to carry on conversation with her about more than quidditch and that odd stain on his shirt!!!! Ron is none of the above...in fact...I think he's severely in debt to the personality angel as to those attributes... My point being...if Hermione and Ron were real, she would be severely unhappy. Trust me. I consider myself of moderate intelligence and carrying on a coversation with someone whose IQ is less than their shoe size makes me want to dunk their head in a toilet bowl! On the other hand... DRACO...mmm... Need I say more? | |||||||||
