About Me: Even though I go to art school for Illustration, I have a secret desire to publish a novel by the time I am thirty. Music: uhh, music is life. Writing is music converted to text. The soul of all of my writing comes from music. GO VINYL! Comics: Ahhhhh, comics are my life also! I love comic books. I wish everything could have a comic book about it. Writing: on the subject of writing, fanfiction is interesting because it allows me to use pre-established characters to exercise my writing abilities. Because of this, readers know back stories I can elude to without first having to build that history. It is such good experience for real writing! People reading fanfiction also probably already have a personal connection to the characters I write about (as I do,) and are more willing to critique my stuff than when I write original compositions. Regardless, I love to write. Writing can free you. You can let anything out that you want to. You can shape a story however you feel like it. Writing is magic, and with the internet so full of shitty attempts and uninteresting cast-molds of the same story over and over again, I try and offer a different spin on many characters. I like taking an old, used idea and turning it around and making it into something new. I detest sentimentality and fannon archetypes. I try to write characters as close to human nature as possible. The grittier and more disgusting, the better! But I also acknowledge the existence of true love however finite, and try to lay down themes which reflect an undermining sense of determination and hope, eliminating the single-genre fic from my writing.
