| Diana |
Author has written 10 stories for 10th Kingdom, Labyrinth, Xena: Warrior Princess, Robin Hood BBC, and Moonlight. : Biography : I've been devoted to & involved with the arts for as long as I can remember. My passions/talents include drama, singing, dancing, swimming, writing, web design & digital art & the work/career of actors Michael Weatherly & Patrick Fabian. My favorite fandoms include Moonlight, Dark Angel, NCIS, Robin Hood BBC, Xena/Hercules (or as we call it, "The Greek World"), & Labyrinth. I've written fanfiction now since 1997 & still love it. I write under both the pseudonyms of Diana & Christy, and now Cassidy, so any pen name may appear under various fiction disclaimers. I don't write as much fanfiction as I used to (trying for more original work now), but I do try & catch up with my older projects every now & again. For a more descriptive biography on me (including rare pictures), you can go here. If you want to send me an email, you can reach me also here. Love kudos about my fic, which I am shamelessly proud of, so that scores big points with me. Actually -- any flattery does. I'm kinda easy that way! (grins) To those who have been waiting so patiently for new fic for such a long time, I appreciate it. You -- the loyal readers -- are truly why I do this & I thank each & every one of you for being so generous with your praise, so patient with your time & so diligent in your followups. -- C. "I've tried to be nice, but now I'm just gonna have to kill somebody!" "We're gonna be such good friends!" "You have that 'Logan, I need a favor' look on your face." "You still in my zip code?" : Updates : 02.20.09 Fic world has been a mess. I'm sorry. Bitching is what my blog is for, so here goes the short version. '08 was a tough year for me, and for my BFF/beta reader A, both this year AND last year were tough! So I've been writing, but not sharing, and for that I apologize. Understand that I was writing pretty much whenever random impulse struck and paid little attention to whether or not it made sense. A & I retreated into the Halflight universe for awhile & during that time, my writing was largely theraputic. So those rewrites I've been promising for well over a year-- just never happened. We've all been there, right? Sorry, sorry, sorry! But this year has been better. Things have finally normalized in my life some and I have time to work on fic again, so I FINALLY just put my BIG GIRL PANTIES on & did something about it! That is in fact why I've posted up to chapter 10. Technically speaking, it's written to 15, but I've only edited up to 10 & with A's situation, I haven't been pressuring her for betas. She is still suffering some work trauma right now, and I fully understand that! However, I won't leave all of you lingering for chapters either. Plus, I realize it'll take awhile to get through it --especially if you try reading it all back-to-back, took me a week solid just to even edit to 10! So I'm giving you plenty to read up front-- because, in all fairness, I think you've been waiting long enough on fic updates! And I'm not going to press for feedback on Halflight, if only because I don't need it. To be honest, I'm happy with the fic & with the immense multi-verse that it's become --& that's really what matters. I LOVE the story & I LOVE the characters dearly, as if they were real (& there are definitely times that I'm convinced they are real, somewhere.) I've cried their tears (quite literally!), I've felt their terror, I've sang their songs & I've laughed out loud at their snarky comments. Through Halflight, I've found friendship, loyalty, humor, heartbreak --but most importantly, love. It's carried me through some dark times and given me joy where there was none; I've gotten more out of that fic than any author could possibly hope to expect and so I don't ask for anything else. If you read Halflight and can't summon the interest for a line or two of thought, its ok. Even no feedback is better than something idiotic. But if you love the story as much as I do, feel free to PM or review & I'll respond, I promise. (smiles) I'm always happy to talk Halflight & share Halflight, trust me! That said, I will be working on other fics around my commitment to Halflight, most notably Maidens of Sherwood. And on that note, if you are a fan of MOS, I am in the market for a beta reader for that fic. Downside is it's not a paying gig, but the benefits include first look at all new chapters, access to exclusive content and fic spoilers, the ability to add your own notes & feedback, special illustrated copies and more. Plus, I let my beta readers nag me for new content & influence the flow of the story. Might even add you in as a character so --anyway, PM me if you want more details or are interested. Other A/N is that I've taken down a lot of my older fics --pretty much anything that's not current or that I don't have plans to continue. All other fic will be archived on a personal website eventually: URL pending. All for now. -- C. Current Fiction: Headers for Halflight & Maidens of Sherwood: Halflight / MOS Halflight: Current to chapter 15. Posted thru chapter 10. EST on 11: Tentative. It needs serious editing on my end & I'm waiting on a beta from A. Maybe 2 weeks? Maidens of Sherwood: Current to chapter 9. EST on 10: 2-3 weeks. Due to change, subject to writing time & limitations. Flat out, Halflight holds more interest for me. But I promise to get back on it eventually; I do need breaks from Halflight periodically. Especially right now, 15 not one of my fave chps to date. (sighs) Pending Fiction: Greek Fic: On hold. It may or may not be taken down at my discretion. 13th Kingdom: On hold. No EST on posting at this time. Shadows of the Past: On hold. Rewrites pending. No EST at this time. | |||||||||
