The Only Alien on the Planet
Hn... about me? Well, I guess the stats are easiest. I live in the mid-western United States for now... and I say "for now" becuase last year I lived in the Southwest, two years before that I lived on the Gulf Coast, a year before that I lived in Northeast... I move around - a lot - so my location is irrelevent, and a lot of my writing (which isn't much right now, I know) is done from a location other then the one I call "home."
I'm 21 years old. My hair is the same colour as my eyes - brown - and is short. No wild colours or electric-hued streaks, just plain ole' mousey brown, and my skin is appropriately pale to match. I'm slightly under average height (5'3") and am neither fat nor skinny (appx. 130 lbs.). For all practical intents and purposes, I don't stand out much (which is fine by me). I garuntee I look "just like" your friend, relative, second-cousin's-little-sister's-best-friend, someone you saw on a cheap television commercial,or someone you met at a the Christmas party you crashed two years ago because you heard they had good food. I am the living, walking, breathing definition of "average."
Until I open my mouth. After that, game on...

HEY! READ THIS! - 29 Jan 06
-I've completed my upgrade training for my job, and am in the process of studying for my next rank, the testing of which is in May. Most people have (and require) a year to study - I have four months.I have an upcoming excercise that means I'll be spending a week in the field sucking rubber and rolling in the mud, and am supposed to deploy in May to Iraq for upwards of a year. If I don't go there, I'm headed to Korea. All of this on top of a job that I work 8-10 hours a day, five days a week, plusmost weekends. Just to top it off, I have 9 additional duties that I’m the primary for, and 15 in which I’m the alternate, and I have to be trained on all of them. Writing is done when I have time, and is deffinetly not at the top of my "To Do" list. Not out of choice, out of necessity. Big Brother doesn't like to be ignored, and I'd hate to fail rank becuase I "absolutely had to" write the next chapter.
Sadly, while this is my passion, it is not my reality.
