July 3, 2007- Woooow long time no update, eh? Okay, so anyway, there's a new chapter of Still So Close to You up, and I'm nearly done with chapter 19 of that also. I've decided that I'm finishing that story before I move onto others, as it's very close and I know what I want. The story actually got really friggin complicated, and I'm actually tying up loose ends right now, which will take a few chapters, and then summertimes happens, the living is easy, and then the end happens, followed by an epilogue, probably. So, there should be a million damn updates within the next month, hopefully, and a lot more into the year! Horrraaaaay!

Lavender and Parvati. Lastly, Lily and the Marauders (excluding Peter… sometimes). Not sorted from most favored to least, and not including all the favored characters. I just can't think of anymore at the moment.

Major turn-offs in fics (for me): OCness. Nicknames that are based on fanon and not the actual series. Fanon personalities and characteristics (Draco being total sex-god; he isn't in the books!) Whole chapters dedicated to sex scenes. Sex scenes written by virgins! (Ugh, bugs me all the time.) Horrible spelling and grammar that it's hard to decipher what the hell the author was writing about. Misuse of adjectives. Flaming with no point; seriously, bitch about what was wrong, not how you wasted your time reading it. That was entirely your fault. Things and people that appear in chapters just for a plot device and never to be seen again. Excessive author's notes that interrupt the flow of the fic (I despise them, but having at least one is understandable.) No one uses condoms when they have sex, it's always a Contraceptive Potion or spell. The drug is always Firewhiskey, never pot or ecstasy or some made-up Wizarding drug or alcohol. Fic Tendencies: Death. Latin. Angst. Major plot twists. Abuse. Memory erasing. Unhappy endings. The Dark people having more control. Kidnapping in some form. (What I hope is) believable romance. Swearing. Humor (dry, sexual innuendo, sadistic, ect). Putting little inside jokes in spots where they seem to belong. Slipping major clues into the story in very discreet ways (which no one has really been able to pick up yet... -grumble-). A bit of time-travel. Death Eater!Draco. Abusive!Lucius/Draco. References to HBP in pre-HBP stories (they work sometimes). Internal conflict. More shall be added soon!

Still So Close to You: Hermione stumbles upon a book that hurls her back in time with the Marauders. She is oddly drawn to Remus, and after a series of events, she find that she's already made noticeable mistakes, and someone is hunting her down because of it. With an unknown amount of time left, Hermione must figure out a way to stay out of the grasp of Lucius Malfoy, sort out her confused feelings for Remus, and find a way to fix everything before it catches up with her again. Filled with angst, mystery, romance and betrayal, there's only one way that Hermione can be with the one she wants, but too many people are standing in her way.

Forever and Always: The rumors that have been drifting through the papers that summer have confused and horrified everyone who happened to read them. How could one be a murderer at such a young age? But with the title of Head Girl, and a mission that has her turning in her sleep, Hermione has to dive into the mind of Draco Malfoy to figure out just what happened that summer's night, questioning her faith and her heart as she goes. The angry creature that Malfoy has been turned into is shunned and jeered at by the rest of the world, and through mockery, pain and too many tears to count, both of them discover what really lies within the human soul, and just how hard-headed Hermione Granger can be.

ILY, HG: Harry, Ron and Hermione decide that staying at the Dursley's before going to Godric's Hollow would take the tension off of Harry's mind. So, with nothing to do, the trio discover an article in the local newspaper, and set off to mentor a group of teenagers. Through acronyms and the clever minds of three teenage girls, Ronald Weasley is able to use his ignorance as an advantage for once, and kiss the girl that he's always wanted to.

Batteries Not Included: I've really had enough of that insufferable prat. He changes his moods like a girl on her monthly! Seriously, that one time in Hogsmeade with him was alright until Black showed up, and low and behold, Potter's a whole different person. I've had enough of his changing morals, enough of the bloody geeks, and enough of this random Half Blood Prince! I'm sick of being pretty (actually, no I'm not), and I want revenge! Potter won't know what hit him, and by the time he does, he'll be an electronic with no batteries! Currently being written. (Anything subject to change)

We've Only Just Begun: Co-written with Curlyqntx. The summer has finally rolled by, and annoyingly, Harry and Ron have not sent their Hermione any letters once during their weeks off. Eager to see her friends and help Harry with the Horcruxes on his journey, she sets off into the magical world, only to find that it no longer exists. Confused and frightened, she pulls desperate measures to find anyone, anyone with some kind of magical ability (or even with a wand, for that matter) to assure her that she isn't going crazy. And in a whirlwind of events, magic, love and intelligence come crashing together from one angst-ridden teenage boy against the all-powerful Voldemort, who somehow has already been ruling for all eternity. Mute: Set in a world where Voldemort has always ruled, Harry Potter is just a normal, average person, and the school of Hogwarts is strictly purebloods. A time where Muggles do not exist, and the remaining Mudbloods are not slaves, but seen as pets, mongrels, mutts. They are bred and traded, branded and marked, bought and sold, beaten and loved, and seen much, much lower than the dirt on anyone's shoes. Every Mudblood has had their voice removed since the time of birth magically, and since then, they communicate by their own language. None have ever dared to speak, to learn, to disobey. No one until the personal pet of a man named Draco Malfoy finally had the courage to raise her eyes and learn from the people and world around her, and discover just enough to make a difference. Carpe Noctis:Years after graduation, the war is still brewing, as dangerous as ever, and Harry, Ron and Hermione can only do so much as they are thrown into finding Horcruxes and attempting to create infallible plans to defeat Voldemort. Meanwhile, the Death Eaters have been experimenting just a little too much. When they create a potion so strong it can kill, comatose someone or wipe a memory, all of them question whether it's enough to affect the outcome of a war. However, the lurking presence of a forgotten Slytherin, the once-in-a-lifetime stupidity from Hermione Granger, and the boy who will never be forgiven, somehow create the twist of lust and danger, and none of them can recognize the ignorance that surrounds them all. Pretending to Live: She wished and wished and wished that she could run far away from, so far and so fast for so long that she would never be found again. But she knew that the only way she can escape is to flee and hide for three years. Then... she could be away from the Malfoy Manor forever. But it was all a dream; tied to the land in her position as a serf, she can only dream of the wealth and happiness that others must hold, especially those of royalty. When she hears the second-son of the king has set out, passing near her own manor, she takes her chances and runs. Meeting the youngest Prince was something she dreamed of, but never did she imagine that he too would fall in love with her. With only the hope that she can hide long enough from her lord, the youngest Prince must find a way to make her his, so that all those tales and love poems can come true, at least for him, because now he knows, he wasn't the only one dreaming of love and escaping his life. So together, they find a way to put the puzzle intact to make it all work. Yet, she's not so sure if she can pull this all off without getting murdered for treason, and the prince? Well, let's say he's been on thin ice already, and one more mistake could have his head on a block next to his beloved. (Anything subject to change)

Stuck in the Middle With You- The summer before seventh year has proved to be relaxing so far, and hanging around Fred and George's joke shop has given Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny a reason to spice up the fun. However, Hermione has been struggling to get her feelings across to Ron, and Ginny and Harry keep running out of snogging places. But one day in Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes may seem like the beginning of the end, but it's really just a beautiful disaster. Questioning true feelings and the creativity of two pranksters, Hermione and Ginny really have to put their best feet forward and try to figure out how to become unstuck from these boys-- literally. Loosing Control- Short story. Tonks is invited into the Order of the Phoenix when Harry is in his fourth year. Even though she was prone to breaking everything, she became friendly with everyone. And that being said, she had to know a few things about everyone else too. Drawn to the fact that Remus Lupin can lead such a normal life when he has had to endure unbelievable pain and endurance his whole life, she finds herself getting a little too close than she thought she could. Yet, any relationship they had together goes spiraling out of control when Sirius dies... and all Tonks can do is pick up the pieces, and hope that Remus will, in turn, love her back. Denial follows, and only the death of Dumbledore can make him see that love started this all... and only love can heal it. (Anything subject to change)
