Author has written 83 stories for Homestar Runner, Fire Emblem, Simpsons, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Camp Lazlo, Total Drama series, A Goofy Movie, and Johnny Bravo.
I joined this site in November of 2004. In February of 2005, I began writing Homestar Runner fanfiction. I always favored Strong Sad. Nowadays, I still love Strong Sad, but he is no longer the key to my heart, mainly because I realize that there is a certain someone who has more in common with me than he does (and who also has more in common with him than I do. And came first. Significantly.)
After a two year long hiatus, I wrote my first Fire Emblem story. It was awful, but I got a negative review from it that I was glad to receive. Otherwise, I might not have been able to gain the skills I did during the break (more on that later). Afterwards, I took a writing class and it definitely seems different to me. From Fire Emblem, I fell in love with Soren's character. He was much like Strong Sad, except that he was stubborn instead of spineless. I wrote three stories overall before the break.
Half a year later, I decided to try my hand at writing Simpsons fanfiction with mixed results. Some of the stories were praised by the same person seven times, others had half their reviews negative. This was a rebirth of the time I favored the spineless, this time favoring Waylon Smithers. There was a giant surge of stories in which I wrote thirteen Simpsons fanfictions. For a time, this was definitely my most prolific category.
However, this did not last. After writing one more Simpsons story a half a year later, I wrote a Fire Emblem story. It was meant as a form of nostalgia, as I had just gotten into Fire Emblem again. After posting two old stories based on My Life as a Teenage Robot and Camp Lazlo, I began to write more Fire Emblem stories. And more. And pretty soon, it was my most prolific category. I posted sixteen Fire Emblem stories, when I received a formal request to write more Burns/Smithers fanfiction. I was not currently obsessed with the Simpsons, so this was something I went out of my way for, so you shouldn't expect too much from it.
After the fact, I posted fifteen more Fire Emblem stories, and then, half a year later (during which time I was briefly obsessed with Severus Snape from Harry Potter, but not the whole franchise), posted what is currently my last one. Less than a week later, I began showing my new obsession: Total Drama Island, and along with it, my favorite character from within; Noah, whose differences from Soren basically include phenotype and name, as well as overall well-being, which is far more similar to mine--he is actually very similar to me in a lot of ways, though not as many as someone else.
Total Drama has fewer than half of the stories that Fire Emblem has, but I wrote an 80 thousand word story for it, while my longest story up until that point was under 20 thousand. I also have not abandoned any Total Drama fanfiction.
Fire Emblem then became my obsession for the third time. It truly is a perseverent series.
The most perseverent series of all, however, has got to be the Goof Troop/Goofy Movie series, a series that I've loved since I was a little kid but never truly became obsessed with until now. I also realize that I have been a little harsh on my own friendliness (or perhaps easy on my spinelessness in public places) because I realize that there is one character who probably means more to me than any other character I've ever run into, and whose common ground with me makes Noah's look tiny. I am of course talking about PJ Pete.
I will now explain how this came to be: I tend to be stubborn, sarcastic, and outspokenly cynical around people I trust. However, around people I don't trust completely, I am instead a timid, quiet pushover. PJ may be the most rounded of all the characters I've identified myself with, which might explain why I feel such a strong affinity for him. I've only written a couple of stories for that series yet, though.
Oh, yes, my avatar just happens to catch the most adorable moment in all of the Goof Troop series. Well, certainly one of the most adorable moments. Gotta love great fathers filling in for terrible ones.
