Life: Be a little crazy. You have to be a little nuts to survive in the loony bin that is this world.
Love: There are many aspects to love - emotional, spiritual, and physical being the three primaries. Only in understanding that these primary aspects are all of equal importantance and must be in balance can a relationship be truly fulfilling.
Family: Cherish what you have. It may not be the best thing in the world, but it is always better than nothing at all. And yes, friends are family, especially the ones that are close to your heart. Hold them close.
Self-Image: Learn to reach out to others and see yourself through their eyes. Only then can you begin to grasp how much your presence is loved and appreciated by the world around you and see how beautiful you truly are, in body, mind and spirit.
Career: Never EVER choose a job just because it pays well. Take time to find out what you love to do, then go out there and do that. Choose a job that, when you are employed, makes you thankful for every day you are able to rise from bed, even if the money isn't as great as a job that, after a while, you'd do nothing but hate.

But, as it always is, he returns home, knowing that, in his heart, he cannot leave those that he cares about behind.

Knowing the truth now, Lancer encourages Danny to give a speech to the student body, one that will reveal him for the half-ghost he is, and let the people of Amity Park decide: Does he stay or does Danny Phantom have to go?

Personally, I only wrote this as a separate story because I felt that it would have detracted from the flow and the feel that I had going in "The Power of Love". Besides, this is more of a side note anyway, one that I didn't want to try to squish into one of the random chapters and confuse people as a result.

Random Drabbles of an Overworked Mind:

The one-hundred drabble challenges got my brain thinking, and now I have gone down the dark path as well, but with a twisted shift that only my insane mind could develop. My birthday is February 14th, or 2-14, so why not write 214 random oneshots for the hell of it?
Chapter One: #073 - Sacred Waves. Sam is confused by a text message she receives late one night, but in following the cryptic messages to the Amity Park beach, she comes across a surprise that had been set up for her in the darkness of the caves.
Chapter Two: #063 - Only Words. Post-Phantom Planet. Sam attacks Danny, worried that he, during his public touring after the Disasteroid incident, is being unfaithful to her. However, in asking for the three words that would settle her mind, she learns more about Danny than she ever thought she would.
Chapter Three: #015 - The Moon's Child. Finally free of the insanity that had taken over his mind, Nocturne returns to Amity Park to thank the ghost child for setting him back on his right path.
Chapter Four: #010 - Frozen Butterfly. For Sam's 18th birthday, Danny has brought her quite a few gifts, but the final one he gives her is a precious gift that calls back to her childhood days and memories of their youth.
Chapter Five: #137 - Slave to the Light. Set into the somewhat-distant future, the great-grandson of Danny Fenton/Phantom has finally been cleared as a member of the Global Ectoplasmic Control Force. As a member of the Fenton line, half-ghosts by the grace of genetics, he must choose a name, and in talking with Danny, young Patrick takes on a name that carries a great history as well as a great burden.
Chapter Six: #055 - Missing School. Danny wakes up to find that he's not exactly the way he was the night before. Having grown a pair of wings and a tail overnight, it takes the gentle coaxing of his mother to convince him that he needs to go to school anyway, wings and tail or no. But everything is not as it seems...
Chapter Seven: #120 - Each Soul. Danny has been out of it for some time now, and Sam goes to the house to see what it is that has been keeping her boyfriend so spaced out lately. However, in talking with him, he turns their conversation toward a philosophical and spiritual angle, an angle that does, in fact, surprise Sam. It is not this surprise that catches Sam off-guard, but the fact that Danny has finally found the means by which to be comfortable in his own skin, finally at peace with the fact that he, as a half-ghost, is somewhat different than the rest of the world. However, in that same thought, he isn't all that different at all.
Chapter Eight: #169 - The Broken One. Searching for a set of china cups she'd gotten at her wedding, Maddie has them returned to her by her son. Looking into the box they were kept in, she finds only five of the six cups, and Danny explains to her what, exactly, happened to the final piece of the set.
Chapter Nine: #023 - Living Dreams. Danny, out of the blue, suddenly blurts out that being half-ghost rocks. This is a far cry from his usual self-loathing mantra, so Sam and Tucker delve into why there has been this sudden change of mind. Turns out, being half-ghost has done nothing to hinder Danny's life-long dream of being an astronaut. In fact, it has done more to help him that anyone could have imagined.

Not really that much of a story. Danny, the day before his birthday, finds himself painfully bored, and after all other options are exhausted, decides to download some music. Typing in the general title search term 'birthday', he finds a song by a bad he knows Sam likes. However, he's never heard what they sound like, and gives their music a try. What this turns into, however, is a birthday present unlike any he's ever received - a new way to look at life.

Having just completed his latest mission, Danny is quick to return home, ready to celebrate the news with his wife. However, upon arriving home, what he finds waiting for him starts Danny down a deadly path, not for him, but for those he has served for so long. What makes it worse, more than anything else, is that this new abomination is not fully ghost, as Dan was. No, as Danny's human side is still alive, this monstrosity is beyond human and beyond ghost, and those he has worked for are now going to pay the price for taking from him that which mattered most.
