Author has written 43 stories for Final Fantasy VII, Back to the Future, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Equilibrium, Doctor Who, M*A*S*H, and Watchmen.

Active fandoms:

Watchmen - LIKED IT BEFORE IT WAS A MOVIE. YEAH.
MASH - My first fandom, and the one I keep returning to.
Doctor Who - Four, Five, Eight, Nine, Ten.
FF7 - ShinRa/Turks.

Other fandoms I've written for in the past:

Equilibrium
Hitchhiker's Guide
Back to the Future

Genre/Writing Style:

Character exploration is my current emphasis. (Who am I kidding, it's my always-emphasis.) Mostly darker/more serious angles, but generally nothing over the top, the FF7 stuff excepted. Also some slashy vibes in the FF7 stuff, you've been warned. In fact, those FF7 stories merit warnings all across the board if you're easily upset by dark themes. Reno is a fcked-up cookie. But I still love him. Addendum: slash in 'Diminishing Returns', as well.

I tend to write a lot of present tense instead of past, sometimes do odd first or second person instead of third, and use a lot of technically broken sentences. If you're a grammar fiend, I apologize for the headaches.

Themes:

Friendship and loyalty. Redemption and accountability. Loss and its inevitability. And other such things.

Also, regarding the Who stuff: Not British. Sorry. I try to write dialogue appropriately for the genre/setting but I almost assuredly screw it up sometimes. If you notice something glaring, let me know so I can fix it, thanks. :3

Personal:

I'm 29 and short. I'm a computer/science/math nerd with an unhealthy unifying-theory-of-physics obsession(also: black holes), bass player, photographer, phone phreak, vinyl/audiophile, wanderer of mountain towns, artist, roleplayer, occasional writer, potato gun enthusiast, and generalized packrat/collector of weird shit.

Elsewhere:

My Doctor Who fic is posted at Teaspoon over at whofic.com under the handle 'etherati', and my fic journal is on livejournal at http://etherati.livejournal.com/

Sometimes I will post a fic in its entirety to my journal but update it here one part at a time, both for the benefit of people who like to deal with the cliffhangers XD and for the sake of getting the work more exposure if I'm particularly proud of it. Feel free to read at the journal but pleeeasse don't neglect the version I'm posting here, if you like it - I won't beg for reviews, but my fragile ego gets propped up by them and then I write more. XD

ALSO it is relevant to note that anything I write that is not really appropriate for ff.net(ie, anything vaguely porny), though there is not a lot of it, is also posted at my journal. Also things that I feel are not up to snuff, or are pointlessly self-indulgent even if they are up to snuff. Etc.

For example! breeding lilacs - Zombie!verse, post-NaB, THIS IS ONLY POSTED AT MY LJ. NOT ON FF.NET. I don't think FF.net likes borderline necrophilia, sorry. D:But it is now FINISHED and POSTED for those of you who are interested.

In progress:

Most of my in-progress stuff at the moment is either Watchmen or Who. Here's a partial list:

Watchmen:

between the brushstrokes
Dan, Ror, in the future. Post-GN fixit I guess, technically, but it's more about finding all the inbetween places and holding onto them, wrapped up in an Excellent Adventure full of twilight zone garbage and Adrian being Adrian. 50 percent? Maybe?
flight
Dan-centric, book!verse, character study. 20 percent.
thermodynamic miracles
Dan/Ror, Zombie!verse, Keene-Act era followup piece. 50 percent.
perspective
Many characters, Zombie!verse, same timeline as 'Now, As Before' but from other POVs. Likely only posted to LJ since it's mostly OCs and therefore only borderline fanfiction, and only of interest to fans of NaB. 50 percent.

Doctor Who:

combien de temps
four, sarah. partially posted, currently on hold but will be finished at some point.
ragged edge of the silence
eight, nine. 15 percent.
kodachrome
eight, barbara, ian. 10 percent.

Also a MASH-fic in progress, breathing ourselves, 70 percent.
