My name is Erin and I am a bit of a bookworm.
Though I have yet to write my own fanfic I have a couple of ideas for the CSI: NY fic that have been nagging at me. Once I build up the courage and have time I will attempt to type it up. Most of my free time is spent reading or role playing (mainly Harry Potter RP's), though during the school year that free time is very rare.

Suggested Readings
Abyss & Ascent by Lunalelle (Rated M) - Abyss is the starting point for Ascent, and is completed, while Ascent is a WIP. They are both extremely well written dark fics, that capture Voldemort and Hermione's characters well. The characterization of Voldemort is one of the best I have read, capturing his intelligence and dark humour well. Lunalelle shows how the dark arts are seductive and sentient in essence, and has created a complex plot full of mind games and the beauty of the dark arts. Hermione/Voldemort (not compatible with HBP)
When a Lioness Fights by Kayly Silverstorm (Rated M) - This is a brilliant work in progress, where Hermione becomes a spy for the Order hoping to end the war as soon as possible. Since she is a muggleborn she can't get close to Voldemort the same way that Severus could and has to take a different approach, one that is very dark and harmful to her both physically and mentally. The fic highlights Hermione's strength, and how Severus and her relationship changes over the course of the story. Hermione/Severus (Not compatible with HBP)
Of Touch by Shorty Trenchrat (Rated T) - A wonderful work in progress that although it takes a while to update is definitely worth the wait. Hermione and Severus are captured by Death Eaters. Severus is tortured and loses both his sight and hearing; Hermione being the only person he has contact with in the cell communicates with him and they form a complex friendship that is very moving. The fic highlights the strength of both characters who are faced with emotional and physical abuse but hold on to the fact that they are not alone. Severus/Hermione Friendship (not Compatible with HBP).
