Author has written 7 stories for Teen Titans, Dragon Ball Z, and Saw.

I’m Azelma, I’m twenty-three, and I write stories.

9/15/09: I know that I’ve been horribly neglectful of this site, and I wouldn’t blame anyone for giving up on me entirely. The short version is that I graduated in the spring of 2008, went off to graduate school for my PhD in Neurobiology, and have been working and studying nonstop ever since. Grad school is a difficult, stressful life that leaves little time for writing, so I haven’t been able to dedicate what I once did to creating stories.

Add that to a bad case of “OMG, all of this is crap, and I just need to burn it and rewrite everything,” and you get a very slim chance of working on fanfics. My writing style has changed a lot since I posted here, and most of what I currently have up mildly embarrasses me. I’m honored that some people seem to like it (for some reason!), so I’m definitely going to keep it up, but I’m not quite sure how to reconcile the writer I am today with the writer I was 2-4 years ago.

To answer (or at least attempt) the question that I’m sure is on the minds of anyone still watching this profile: No, I have no idea if or when I’ll be updating my current WIPs. No, there’s no plan or timetable for finishing them. I’m not going to say that they’ve been permanently tabled, because they haven’t been, but if you want to interpret this to mean permanent tabling, I wouldn’t fault you. There are things I like about all of my stories in progress, but there are also many, many things that I think either need a hell of a lot of work or need to be tossed in the trash. I really haven’t figured out what I’m going to do about that.

I would like to thank everyone who’s read or commented on my stories over the years. Many, many of you stuck with me over a long period of time and left helpful and wonderful feedback. Whether or not you read this or it does any good, I wanted to let you all know that you did have an impact on my life, and I still think of you often. In the meantime, if you want to get in touch with me, my blog (link in profile under ‘homepage’) is the best way to do so these days. It’s private, but if you explain how we know each other, I’ll probably be glad to add you.

I have no idea what, if anything, is coming next for me in the world of writing, but thanks for being with me on the journey so far. Any questions, shoot them over.
