I have noticed that I have been getting quite a few good reviews, and while I most definitely appreciate your praise, don’t get me wrong, most of your reviews don’t really tell me anything about my writing. When there has been praise, it was in general, “You Rock!” terms, nothing concrete about my writing. I mean, what is it that you like? What do you want to see more of? And on the flipside, what do you dislike about my work? Any problems? What would you like to see less of? What makes you cringe? And how would you suggest I improve? While flames like “u r teh GHEI lolwtfbbqorly” will be summarily disregarded, I will do my best to take into consideration any and all constructive criticism. In case you’re wondering, no, I am not asking for more reviews- if you wish, you could send me a PM instead of a review. Personally, I can’t care less about the cursed things. What I do care about is feedback on how to improve. Tell me how you feel because after all- in the end, I am writing not just for my own personal amusement, but for yours as well. Basically, I simply wish to ask you, my valued readers, for a favour- if you wish to leave any opinion on my work, whether positive or negative, could you make it as constructive as possible? Blind praise gratifies indeed, and blind insults bore, but the readers’ well-thought opinions are the good writers’ core. (You see what I mean? So please, send constructive criticism or praise if you can- who knows how pretentious I could become if you don’t do something.)
