Since it's a new year, I've decided to delete one of my stories. I've re-read it a few times and I thought it was poorly written and beyond redemption especially having learned more about the Japanese language! I'm pretty sure no one would miss it anyway. I hope this is a sign that I'll be writing again any time soon!

Rurouni Kenshin: Between Those Ten Years

Collection of Kenshin Wandering Yrs Fics.

I think this is the best setting for an RK fanfic. My simple reasoning is that Watsuki-sama has given us in his manga everything that completes the story of a man that seeks to find himself amidst whatever tragedy. Fanfics between the manga canon are just a bonus. But nothing is said about those ten years that he has wandered. And I believe it's one of the most interesting parts in his life, the transition from his killing instincts borne through his survival from a nasty civil war to an overly mild mannered man that didn't even lose his "purity" after experiencing so many awful things.

As of today, there are 29 fics collected. I've read more than 29, of course. :P

My first ever Wandering Yrs fic is Calger-sama's "An Inn in Hokkaido" and it's one of the first RK fanfics I've read too!

Absolutely wonderful fic. The author's analysis and observation on Vash and Knives' philosophies are just amazing. And the analogy to chess is very fitting too!

03-04 RKRC Winners are up!

I'm extremely happy that Conspirator-sama's "An Unexpected Lesson" won the Best Drama Fic. But its sad that it didn't win Fan Fic of the Year. And she didn't win the Author of the Year award. She's the best! Oh, and "Descent Into Madness" won the Best Angst/Dark fic award. Together with Hakubaikou-sama's "Against A Sea of Troubles", another incredible Wandering Yrs fic! Angrybee-sama's "The Last Temptation of Sanosuke" got the runner-up spot for the Best One Shot fic. Check out these fics!
