NOTICES
All of my ONE PIECE stories are on hiatus indefinitely, and Miss Baroque Works is hereby canceled. Oda-sensei has really made me lose interest in the series...After the first half of Water Seven, it really went downhill...fast. (Yes, I'm talking about a great deal of Enies Lobby, too. Too much fan service.) My OP stories weren't very good to begin with, anyways. xD
(7-19-08) Tom's Workers' first two chapters are revised, and I have plans to revise the rest, just as a slight compensation to the inconvenience of the fic being put on hiatus indefinitely/canceled.
(7-20-08) The Adventure of the Secret Threat is on hold until I can get my ideas for it back. XD
(7-21-08) Hoorah for me! To-day I have been a Sherlockian for a full year!
ART: Go see my DeviantART account at http://kaizokushojo.deviantart.comThere you will find Sherlockian art, Nintendo art, some older ONE PIECE art, occasionally illustrations to my fanfictions, and occasionally cross-overs of my fandoms.
FORUMS
http://www.fanfiction.net/forum/Fanfiction_Workshop/43940/This is the link to my Sherlock Holmes forum, the Fanfiction Workshop. Not only is it a place to get advice on fanfics and see how I'm progressing with mine, but there are also sections dedicated to miscellaneous chatting, Sherlockian art, and Christian Sherlockians, as well as a guide to the abbreviations of the canon.
Semi-Daily Update:
(7-25-08) So far to-day, I've accomplished nothing, but I've only been up for an hour and a half or so. I have to babysit for my nephew, but I'm hoping I might get a little done.
Current Average Activity Hours: Often from about 1 o'clock PM to 2 o'clock AM, Central US Timezone. Any message given to me during those hours will likely be seen, unless I don't get on-line that day. Fic updates are more likely to happen at night.
Misc. Info:
Hullo there! If you're reading this, you're either exceedingly bored or want to know more about me! Well, read on for random facts!
I'm sorry if my username, KaizokuShojo, seems odd. It comes from my early ONE PIECE fandom days (but NOT the American ONE PIECE, which was perfectly horrid). It's Japanese: 'kaizoku' means 'pirate', and 'shojo' (well, technically shoujo, I believe) means 'girl', so...Yes, my username does mean pirate girl. I would change it, but my DeviantART name is KaizokuShojo, and I try to be fairly consistent. To make things easier, feel free to call me "Kai" for short.
I am a firmly believing Christian, so you will not find me writing slash. And I've decided to try not to leave bad reviews--if I don't like your fic, I probably won't get that far anyhow. But, I'm not averse to correcting someone if I feel it's warranted. (Though I'm usually too lazy in my reviews to do so...I'm trying to correct my review-laziness problem at this time.)
I have a high tendency in A/Ns, reviews, and forums to use chat smiley faces (a habit picked up from my run at DeviantART). The ones I use most are XD, xD, 8D, 83, :3, etc. Not only do I use them, but I overuse them. I am trying unsuccessfully to break the habit...
I act profoundly different on-line than I do in real life. XD
I'm a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes. He is amazing, brilliant...sheer literary gold. He and I share many points of our personalities, and that is largely what made me admire him. I am a canon fiend, and I would much rather read something written in the spirit of the canon, but as long as the characters are kept IC and well-written, I should enjoy it. Like many Sherlock Holmes fans, I do like the Granada series (though I dislike its over-dramaticising of some parts, and the liberties it occasionally takes with the canon). And...like many female Granada series fans...I think Jeremy Brett is simply gorgeous. (Though he is not my vision of Holmes.)
I love to draw but, alas, I have been rather unable to do it much since my nephew has come into the world, and therefore I feel terribly out of practice and unable to do much even when I do have the time.
I'm also a Nintendo fan, with loyalty to that company as far as video games go. (Alas, I have few games, because money goes toward Sherlock Holmes stuff...) My favourite titles are Zelda, Mario, F-Zero, Super Smash Bros., etc.
I am a music lover. Whatever I'm doing, I want to be listening to music while I do it. I abhor rap, hip-hop, and nearly all country, but I love most of the classical music I hear, especially if it's done with stringed instruments. (I love the violin immensely. It is the greatest, most wonderful and majestic instrument of them all.) What I'm listening to mostly at this time are orchestrated soundtracks, such as ones from Nintendo games, and other soundtracks (like from the Granada Sherlock Holmes series) and some Christian music (mostly Third Day).
As far as television goes, I like (of course) the Granada Sherlock Holmes series (especially The Adventures, because JB LOOKS like Holmes, and is far more apt to act like him), Monty Python's Flying Circus (when it's clean), MASH, Are You Being Served, Batman the Animated Series, Animaniacs, most early nineties Simpsons, etc. And, with movies, I like STAR WARS, Airplane, Marx Bros. films, My Fair Lady (only because I like some of the songs and the fact JB is in it), Monty Python and the Holy Grail, It's a Wonderful Life, etc.
A~nd...as one last bit of randomness, my favourite comedian of all time is Victor Borge.
Illustrations of Fanfics: I will occasionally draw illustrations for my fanfictions (and sometimes even other people's, though I did that more when I had time) and post them at my DeviantART account. Here are direct links to some for my own fics. (Links to illustrations for other people's fics will be posted on THEIR profile.)

Some Favourite Quotes:
SHERLOCK HOLMES:
--"A man should keep his little brain attic stocked with all the furniture that he is likely to use, and the rest he can put away in the lumber-room of his library, where he can get it if he wants it."
--Violence does, in truth, recoil upon the violent, and the schemer falls into the pit which he digs for another.
--"We balance probabilities and choose the most likely. It is the scientific use of the imagination."
--"To let the brain work without sufficient material is like racing an engine. It racks itself to pieces."
--"I am not the law, but I represent justice so far as my feeble powers go."
VICTOR BORGE:
--I normally don't do requests. Unless, of course, I have been asked to do so.
--Laughter is the shortest distance between two people. The more we smile the less we fight, because to my knowledge, no one ever fought smilingly...and won.
--Occasionally, a finger comes up to wipe a tear of laughter from the eye... and that's my reward... the rest goes to the government.
--The difference between a violin and a viola is that a viola burns longer.
--So now I would like to say something warm and gracious...Good gracious, it's warm in here!
MONTY PYTHON:
--There are a great many people in the country today, who through no fault of their own, are sane.
