Author has written 10 stories for Pokémon, Spiral, and Katekyo Hitman Reborn!. Awesomeness: So someone awesome did some fanart for Aquamarine, and I should have credited her much earlier. Sorry! I'm an idiot. I'm sure many of you have heard of TheWindwaker on FF or Wingjourneys on Deviant. She's a GREAT artist. Makes me jealous. Anyway, she drew something for Wall of Aquamarine which I feel really captures that scene, but don't let me do all the talking. You should check it out for yourself. Wall by Wingjourneys: http://wingjourneys.deviantart.com/art/Aquamarine-Wall-129306524 Profile: (updated 8/12/10) Not much to say, and I feel most people don't really pay attention to biographical information anyway. Oh I am female, but I suppose it would be weird if a guy called himself Jkminimoon... No more rambling. I love three things: peaches, Terry Pratchett, and squishy pillows. Jkminimoon is a silly name, one that I made up when I was... ten? Eleven? I would change it, but throwing away the name is like throwing away a piece of my childhood. I'm sure you can tell I was a Sailor Moon fanatic when I was a child. I've been reading fanfiction for a long time, a good 10 years, starting with Cardcaptor Sakura. I like to think I have a critical eye in reading and that I can differentiate between good stories and not-so-good stories, but I thought the same thing when I was twelve. You can never really know, and tastes change. I started writing more recently, about 3 years ago. My writing has been average at best, sometimes below average at best, but everyone has to start somewhere. Recently, I'd say in the last 3 or 4 months, my writing style has changed a lot. For better or for worse, I'm not sure. It started when I began to write on paper rather than typing directly onto word. I'm obsessed with writing on copy paper. I can't stand writing on lined paper because it feels too structured, like I need to skip every other line and if I forget to do that, my obsessive compulsiveness takes over and makes me scrap the whole thing. Anyway, I feel writing on paper has helped me flesh out my stories more. So now my stories tend to have more introspection, but they're also more long-winded and hardly efficient. The only story posted that I've haven't posted a story yet that exemplifies my new writing style. It also means that I take forever to write a chapter because I need to go through 20 drafts before I'm satisfied. Sorry for the wait? My only goal is to finish a multi-chap. story. You know what? I have no clue what's with me and fluff. My goodness, it's like I'm trying to suffocate you all with rainbows and unicorns and cotton candy. I'll try to work on that. As much as I adore favorites and alerts, I love reviews all the more. It makes me feel that I'm writing for people rather than robots. I'm trying to get into the habit of reviewing stories I like, at least to say "Oh that was really nice" or "Good job" or "dadadadadaaaa I'm lovin' it" (Hahaha I haven't done that last one but now I really want to). If I really adore the story, I'll send you a novel to express my appreciation. I've only sent 8 like that so far. I hope I find other stories that deserve a novel. My Stories: (Updated 8/12/10) In-Progress: Aquamarine: Pokemon Special. Some chapters are good. Others not. A hit and a miss. I do love the feedback on it though. People are so supportive of it, and that's why it's lived the past two years. Ch. 14 should be up July 17th (UPDATE (07/17/10): Sorry, I'm just writing crap right now. I can't get the motivation to write the next chapter. I've written the beginning of several stories but then my muse abandons me. Sorry the next chapter won't come out today.) Only Human: Spiral. In the end, they were only human. Second chapter up by July 26. ( Consonance: Pokemon Special. Based off Aquamarine chapter 4. Discovering the wonder of music as a child, Blue fell in love with the violin only to have her heart broken a few years later. Now age 16, she finds herself stuck at a prestigious school on a music scholarship with the biggest jerk on the planet as her partner. Second chapter up by July 28. ( Treading Water: Reborn. My brain child as of this moment. It's a secret for now. First chapter up by N/A. (Update (7/25/10): Grrr this story is always being pushed back. Curse you, life and your meddling!) Completed: Watching Rainy Clouds: Ah the first one! My baby in a way. It could definitely use some improvement, and I hope people don't judge my writing skills by this one. What I remember fondly about this story is that things seemed to just write itself. I would love to go back just for that. CPR, My Way: My beta likes this one. She thinks it's funny. I find it to be a really sad attempt at humor(even now I suck at humor). Ah well, I think it shows my progress, and it's kind of adorable in that naive inexperienced kind of way. My Happy Ending: Oh goodness. Fluff-galore! I read this one recently, and I felt that someone was trying to suffocate me with a pillow or cotton candy. The flow isn't bad, but the amount of fluff could kill an elephant. An Art Lesson: I believe I was trying to work a little more on description with this one. I haven't read it in a while, so I don't remember much. I think the flow wasn't too bad, but there were these odd hiccups at the end. It still is a pretty cute story. I hope people read it. Abandoned/Hiatus: Bicycles Suck: A little awkward, especially since where I left off doesn't make much sense for a chapter ending. I honestly don't plan to go back to this story. It was simply too long ago, and I don't remember where I was going with it. Working Habits: I struggled with this story. I guess I felt like I forced things. I might update it for the sake of updating and not abandoning it, but it's not very high on my priority list. Future Projects: Story#1: Sometimes love isn't as perfect as you imagine. Blue and Green have realized they aren't really compatible as a couple, but that isn't going to stop Green from going after her. He'll make her see that he's better than the rest of them. (Probably never going to do this. It was a fun idea when I was fifteen.) Story #3: A psychologist, Green gets a call from a friend asking him to help someone. He visits his new patient to find she has an extreme phobia. Life was never easy on Green. Story #4: She looked out the window. It was so close, but freedom couldn't be farther. She could never escape this hellhole. An AU version of PokeSpecial. Brainchild for Pokemon Special.
