Author has written 22 stories for Yu-Gi-Oh, Avatar: Last Airbender, and Fullmetal Alchemist.

A little about me is that I'm 22; I seem to like seeing how characters tick - what's really inside. I love the loner characters, since they always turn out to be good inside and have a tragic past.

I like Yu-Gi-Oh! and a lot of other things on TV, but Yu-Gi-Oh!'s the main show I draw and write about. (Except maybe FMA, now...)

Illustrations I've drawn for my stories:

Ed/Winry from "Mistaken Identity": http://asjjohnson.deviantart.com/art/Determination-81284283

23-year-old Ed for "Return to Shamballa": http://asjjohnson.deviantart.com/art/Ed-s-Return-73703652

Ed's double from dimension 3 (who I've named Edward. And, he picked out the outfit after meeting Ed), from my FMA fanfic trilogy: http://asjjohnson.deviantart.com/art/Mirror-Image-64530149

Rebecca from "Imminence", a Yu-Gi-Oh! one-shot: http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55957046/

Kaiba from the third chapter of my "Finding One's Self" fanfiction: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y223/Asj127/Ch3pic3.jpg

For the sixth chapter of my "Finding One's Self fanfiction: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y223/Asj127/Ch6pic3.jpg

For the second part of "Finding One's Self" -the second part begins at chapter eight, but the picture is about chapter ten. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y223/Asj127/Ch9pic3.jpg

Some lines I really like from my stories:

Tucker opened the front door to find a boy digging a hole in his yard. “May I help you?” he asked. - "What Could Have Been" chapter seven

Nothing happened. “What?!” he shrieked. “I get a metal arm and lose two inches of my height and the only thing I get in return is the ability to break things?! What happened to Equivalent Exchange?!” - Edward from "Living In the Mirror" chapter five

Things you should know...

About Me:

I usually go by either asj127 or Asj Johnson online.

I’m a defensive pessimist, perfectionist, and have an ambivalent attachment style - both my strengths and my weaknesses.

I like anime/manga, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Fullmetal Alchemist, writing fiction, drawing, html, and some types of psychology and math. I find ways of combining these interests.

I have an everything Yu-Gi-Oh! Website at www.asj127.com (which I haven‘t updated in a long time), and a deviantArt account at http://asjjohnson.deviantart.com/.

I’ve taken a couple psychology, creative writing, and film/TV classes. I know that people in my fanfictions are sometimes somewhat out of character, I know I sometimes don’t have enough detail, and I know I can ask too much of my reviewers. If you want to tell me I do these things and more, then it’s perfectly fine. I just wish you’d tell me where it is and how I can fix it.

About Reviews:

I try to follow the saying, “do unto others as you’d want others to do unto you.” Every so often I’ll leave someone’s chapter a very long review in which I’ll say almost everything I’ve thought about while reading the chapter. Please do this for me! It’s pretty easy and it can help you gather your thoughts and make you see things you didn’t notice before. First, open a black document - whatever you write in - and every time you think of something while reading, write it down. I’d like to read any and all thoughts, since it would tell me if my writing gives you the intended impressions. If there’s something you don’t pick up on, I would know and be able to elaborate more on it. You can write me anything from “and you misspelled the word (a random made up word) again. It makes the sentence kind of confusing to me,” to “I wonder if this event will mean something in the future... When I read it I thought ‘could this mean that (first possible conclusion) will happen, (second possible conclusion) will happen, or even (third possible conclusion) will happen?’ It’s really interesting,” to “I didn’t think Kaiba would say something like, “(a random made up quote).” I donno what else he could say in that situation, though. Maybe he could just glare and not say anything...”

I have a bad habit of asking for reviews. People tell me that you shouldn’t write only for the reviews, but for your own enjoyment and experience. My answer to this? If I didn’t care about reviews or whether or not people like my work, I wouldn’t take the time to put it up on this site - same for everyone else here. I write for myself, first off. I love watching my favorite shows and when writing, it’s like I can tell the author what I want to happen next and they’ll do it. I write for experience, next. I’ve gone from writing to satisfy my curiosity and cravings (I wonder about things like “what if this happens?” a lot), to discovering the joy of completing a work of art that I can be proud of. Part of this experience relies on others’ opinions. Writing and art is meant for others’ enjoyment, as well as the artist themselves. Thirdly, I write for the reviews. Only my recent stories are on this site. That’s because I’m now trying to understand what makes stories good and trying to learn what people like, so I can make a successful original book/comic/series/movie sometime in the future.

About My Stories:

Since they have summaries down there, I won’t say anything not already told.

“Finding One’s Self” - There’s a hint about Kaiba/Téa in it, and the great fanfiction “To Truly See” inspired me to write it. It was a test for me, and I believe I passed it. I consider it my first story to be finished. It was the first fanfic I put on this site and it took two years to finish. I’m not completely satisfied with it, though, and want to revise it.

“Return to Shamballa” - This is like the FMA version of "Finding One's Self". The chapters aren't as long, but they're about twice as long as the chapters in my FMA trilogy. This one is also more serious and better thought out then the trilogy, also.

There’s three story ideas I’m currently playing with. Two are original stories and the other one is a fanfiction. I’m not telling the titles just because I haven’t decided on any, yet. One is a original version of “Finding One’s Self”, which means that it’s about amnesia. The main character in it is a girl named Kyoko Stevens. I have pictures of her on deviantArt. The other original story is about a girl named Kole, who comes from the future in order to save the world as she knows it. I have more of the plot worked out for this one, since I’ve been thinking about it for several years. The last one is a fanfic about Kaiba. It was based on a dream I had one morning, and is about Kaiba being framed for murder. I want to try putting everything I’ve learned so far into the creation of this fanfic. I also want to try planning out all of the events before actually writing it, like I did with the third and fourth parts of “Finding One’s Self”.

(current me having just read the above paragraph: ) Wha?! What fic where Kaiba's framed for murder?! ... hmm... I wonder if I can find anything on it. It seems vaguely familiar... (finally finds a little something on it, after doing searches for awhile, looks like it was back in 8-7-2007... ) Also, the two original ideas probably won't work out. But... Now I have two FMA comic ideas: tboaa.smackjeeves.com and mistakenid.smackjeeves.com, and I'm rewriting my D3 fic, and want to rewrite my Shamballa fic, and finish a oneshot (I haven't put it up, not done) called "The Stone Room"

Just to let anyone who sees this know, if I don't update a story for a long time, it could just be because of school. After school ends, I'll probably be able to write more.
