Author has written 23 stories for Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Harry Potter, That 70's show, Heroes, Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Supernatural. Well after deciding to cut some of my stories off completley i decided to re-do my profile. I was on here for around two years before i ever wrote anthing that i felt was good enough to publish, looking back on it now as my writing skills and style had improved i can honestly say that it wasn't good enough, and i'm shocked i ever got people asking me to continue what i was doing; because i can't say i would have asked that of someone else. Unlike some writers on here who can constantly write and write none stop, i've found myself drifting in and out of writing for months at a time, when the mood hits me i can write everyday and have 3 updates for stories in a week, other times i won't even think about writing for months on end because when i open up the word document, i find i have to force myself to write which in the end results in sub-standard chapters i've uploaded anyway just to have something there. 14/11/09 Wow my last update for a story was over three months ago now, and that was even after I took a break from one of the fandoms I was writing for but picked up another one at the same time. Dont really know what to say, real life in all its shitness over the summer took over, my sister's wedding, getting ready to go to university as well as a collection of personal problems mixed in between that seemed to come in a constant stream. Right now some of them have sort of cleared out but still the same ones pop back up, as well as being in university four days a week, I just lost interest in writing, some days i'll take a look at the stories I'm working on but so far there hasn't been any spark or desire for me to continue writing. In three weeks I'll have a month off for Christmas and will take another look to see if I'll continue writing, but if not then it would seem likely non of my fics will be getting an update or thought about until next summer at the earlist if at all. My ships: Tommy/Kim - "Power Rangers" When the show first aired I was five years old, and obviously not old enought to be able to understand why I liked them together I just did. It seemed more to do with the fact that it was one of the first t.v shows that I watched growing up that at the time seemed less like a child's show since my family watched it with me, or were 'forced' to watch it. I stopped watching when Kimberly left in season 3, and didn't know about the letter storyline until two years ago, it was around this time that i started to knowingly ship the couple, for lack of a better reason it seemed to bring back part of my childhood that i enjoyed. Xander/Buffy -"Buffy The Vampire Slayer" The first ship that I was aware of rooting for since the show started. Despite the writers that seemed more then happy to throw the tiniest piece out before throwing the characters in different directions it kept people coming back with the thought that something would happen. It never did. There was just something about them that seemed to click from the start, even with him not having any powers, (in the end being the only one of the group) Xander was always there from early in the show's life and helped save Buffy's live in nearly every season sometimes on his own, or forcing other's to help. And yet he never seemed to get any praise for his actions and was often seen as the weak link of the group, (possibly why i usually give him some type of power in my stories) season two had to have been the season that pushed this ship further then it had been, with the 'White Knight' comment before we saw them living together in season 7. Harry/Cho - "Harry Potter" Possibly the shortest relationship out of all the one's I've seen. I think in the end we had roughly a chapter and a half at most where the two of them weren't screaming at each other in the fifth book. That said there was a potential there that was even taken further. Yes everyone that read the books was aware that Cho had dated someone who was killed in the end of the fourth book and Harry had watched it, but there was more that could of been seen between these two then the pathetic rebound, cry fest that it turned out to be. With a bit of thought behind the writing and having them act like human beings then the relationship between the two wouldn't have imploded the way it did, personally I wasn't sure why J.K Rowling had Harry screaming all the time during their relationship, but in my opinion the fifth book was the last good one of the series. Harry/Fleur - "Harry Potter" The second of the couples that I ship which never happened, (something about couples that are never seen in the fandom attracts me to them, as it allows the writers a greater freedom and you'll always be surprised by how big the fanbase is.) This is a purely fanfiction ship, after orignally only shipping Harry/Cho in the HP fandom, I found myself becoming bored with the repeated story lines, that they would always apologise to each year at the start of the sixth year, or in the summer holidays; and so i started flicking through the characters. I think that this ship appeals more, because by extension it gives the reader a way to also make Harry a stronger character in general, something that 90 percent of the time ends with the two of them boucning off of each other in a way that seems realistic for the fandom it's in. Hyde/Jackie - "That 70's Show" A ship from the start I think everyone knew wasn't going to last no matter how much they wanted it to. The two of them together allowed the writers to show Jackie growing as a character and mature, something she didn't do in seasons 1-4, and yet at the same time Hyde was often shown to be more ridiculing and mocking of someone else's ideas and opinions; all but coming out and saying he was always right and Jackie was always wrong especially in season 5. The problem the two of them had, was the fact that they always seemed to have some problem between them, in season 5 it was Hyde's lack of trust for Kelso being around Jackie and his worry that she still had feelings for him, season 7 had his refusal to give her any type of promise he saw a future between them; and any mention of it once again resulted in them fighting. Season 6 was the best time for the couple, and ironically the time they seemed to receive less screen time together, almost as though the writers could only see them being on screen for long periods of time was when they were fighting; opposed to the other couples on the show that were shown a lot more despite whether they were; fighting/making up/broken up. Zach/Claire - "Heroes" Despite the two having roughly half a season, they seemed to be another couple that just clicked. This seemed to be a relationship that if it had ever been created would have lasted. As well as having the two start out as perhaps unwilling/unusual friends there was also a chemistry between them as well as a simmering under the surface type of sexual tension which was pushed further sooner with the other couples. Despite having possibly the smallest fanbase out of all my ships, it is probably the only one you could see having any type of happy ending if it had taken place. Opposed to the tried and tested over the top 'mount you when I see you' tension that was used and is used on t.v shows, these two seemed to have a more sutble unsure tension. The small looks that were shared between the two, the play fighting/pushing, obvious trust and going out of the way for each other when they didn't need to; e.g. Zach recording Claire's attempts, him make sure she became Homecoming Queen, breaking her out of her house so she can go the game and Claire knocking out her former best friend for insulting him. All of which hint at something more being there under the friendship that was made, destroyed and made again. John/Cameron - "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" I think that anyone who has watched the show would have a very hard time trying to argue/deny the chemistry between John and Cameron. (In no small part helped due to the chemistry between Thomas Dekker and Summer Glau) Almost unsurprisingly a relationship between the two of them has generated almost as many people who are against it as there are for it, arguing that Cameron is a cyborg and can't return any type of emotion to him, as well as bringing up Kate from the third terminator film. And yet almost as easily as these arguments are brought up they're knocked out of the water as well, firstly the show is a Sci-Fi program and by extension anything can happen, considering there are shows out there with people in relationships with vampires/werewolves however when this is brought up to them they have their own line of excuses ready to say why that's different and ok for it to happen. For the point about Kate from the third film, well it can be answered even easier, she doesn't exist in the show's timeline and never will. During the two seasons the show has had already, the relationship between the two has nearly hit everything it could. John's attraction to Cameron was clear from the pilot and has been ever since as well as his denial of it, the friendship that was formed between the two after she saved his life and his immediate acceptence of her despite what both his mum and uncle had to say about her not being trusted. The mentor/student feeling that they have given off at times, with John trying to teach Cameron how to fit in with humans more, and her showing him what he needs to learn to become 'The John Connor.' There has also been betrayal between the two of them since the start of season two and Cameron's glitch that resulted in her trying to kill John, something that he never failed to throw in her face while they mended their friendship. Added to the more then obvious sexual tension between the two, without question did it not only become my favourite ship, but it's not surprising to see why so many people are behind it was well, especially when the two have shown time and again that they would give everything to save the other. Disliked ships: Buffy/Angel - "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" Perhaps not surprising considering the the couple I 'shipped' for the show and yet not for the reasons people might think. The two of them can never be happy together in the literal sense because of Angel's curse; which was my primary reason, if the two of them can't be happy together then how do people think they're going to have any type of relationship? My second reason for disliking the ship was the way the characters were shown together, apart from each other they quite possibly had some of the best character growth either shows was able to come up with; bar one or two other characters, but when they were together on either show it seemed that the writers were show happy they allowed the characers to become; arrogant, self centred, selfish. Pretty much any development the characters had was thrown out the window the second they shared a scene, either that or the writers had a problem with them being on screen together without trying to have sex, that in-of-itself showed the writers weren't sure what to do with them. Buffy/Riley - "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" I think fans of the other couples in BTVS could all agree that this while possibly the most mature relationship Buffy was shown to have was also without question the worst. And there is a one word answer for that reason. Riley. The least thought out character I think the show ever threw at the viewers. The character was just that boring I honestly thought someone taking a hammer to my head would have been the friendlier idea then having to listen to him open his mouth, it was so obviously impossible for Buffy to have a normal boyfriend that the writers can up with what could have been a well thought out and yet extremely poorly done idea to make him nearly superhuman. If that weren't enough by the end of the relationship it had been turned around so it's failing was once again Buffy's fault. Buffy/Spike - "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" With my third disliked ship also being another one of Buffy's relationships it would be easy to say that i was being biased. And yet my hating this ship comes down to one simple and final thing. He.Tried.To.Rape.Her. I've heard people argue that Spike didn't know what he was doing and I find that complete and utter bullshit, also I found it horrible that the show would try and touch a rape subject, something that's extremely senstive and a Sci-Fi show in my opinion didn't have a reason to go near it. To make matters worse Buffy then falls in love with her would be rapist, unsurprisingly I also felt this was the season when the show was starting to fail and knew it wouldn't be around much longer. Harry/Ginny - "Harry Potter" It's safe to say there was a great deal I didn't like with the Harry Potter books, at times it seemed to out weigh the things I did like. E.g. Harry having been this saviour of the wizarding world and yet came off as someone who had no deal of talent, received no training what so ever to become a hero, didn't appear to be stronger then anyone else his age in fact came off weaker, and generally got by on sheer luck without loosing his hero status. And yet the one thing I hated about the books more then anything was Harry/Ginny. It made no sense and didn't look to be thought out in any sense of the word. What they're meant to be together because he saved her in the second book? Break me a break. For five and a half books Harry didn't see her as anything other then a friend, ignoring the fact that she's his best friend's sister which brings up other problems; and then despite all logic he suddenly wants to be with her because he sees her with someone else. I take it not liking the fact she didn't follow him around like a lost little puppy was something that flew over people's heads when they think about these two and get all googly eyed. Kelso/Jackie - "That 70's Show" The two of them no better then Hyde/Jackie even though I liked that ship, and like another disliked ship it comes down to one single reason. Cheating. Kelso couldn't be faithful to Jackie if he tried, despite him apologising at least every third episode for cheating on her he went back and did it again. Obviously all the cast were meant to stay together as it was their story and so Jackie was kept on, but the relationship between the two of them went around in circles. Cheat, apologisie, makeup, cheat. It was never ending, and if they had stayed together through-out the eight seasons then there was no sign that things would ever change which would of all made things worse once season six came around and it was shown that Kelso had gotten someone pregnant. John/Riley - "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" I honestly have a hard time believing anyone actually supported this couple and I'm using that word as loosely as I can. There was no chemistry between the characters when their relationship was on screen and more often then not it brought the story progression to a stand still until they were taken off scene. The fact Riley was human seemed to have the small number of shippers take to it just because Cameron is a Terminator, and they clung to that reason like a dying person until the bitter end that didn't come fast enough. Even when it was revealed that Riley had come back from the future without being told to, just to cause trouble by seperating John and Cameron and that's what would have happened if he didn't have his protector around, they're sole reason for liking Riley was. She's human. My stories: Buffy The Vampire Slayer: As of now all of my BTVS stories are discontinued. A complete lack of both interest and joy on my part for writing in this particular fandom have led me to realise the only outcome was for me to move away from the fandom totally. This means my only finished story for BTVS is Xander the slayer. While six others will remain unfinished. Harry Potter: Possibly the hardest fandom I've wrote for so far, I alread have three finished stories for it with I want what I can't have, What I've done, as well as Don't you people ever die. It is also the fandom that now holds the most stories that I'm working on with Of Durmstrang and The Darkness Flows Throughout. Despite taking numerous breaks while writing these two I do plan on finishing them, however they have been the major reason of my taking breaks from FF.net as one is my longest story so far, and I've found it hard to swap between the two while keeping up a the same level of writing I want. Stories that I've started in this fandom that I've started and have put on hold while working on these two are; Tears of the phoenix, The one true destoryer and Stranger.Stronger. It all depends on my own mindset which order these three will be worked on and completed as well as when I will start work on them straight away, or if I'll continue to work on some of my other fandoms before hand. With ideas constantly flashing around my head I also have stories that will be upcoming in this fandom; From the light, comes the dark. Here I go again. Carve the Crimson road and possibly A sequel to Of Durmstrang. However these stories will be the last ones that will be started, once i've finished all my other works. Heroes: A fandom that has a taken a back seat to my Harry Potter and Terminator stories but one that I'm still very much working on. I already have a one-shot and a two chapter story in the heroes fandom, How Angels Fall, which is set during the 5 years gone universe and deals with Zach receiving a letter inviting him to Claire's wedding. Over and over, is my other two-shot that adds to Claire leaving Odessa but this time saying goodbye to Zach, with the second chapter being set after Nathan was shot at the end of season two; but before we ever found anything out about season 3. I'll never tell. Is a story that i've re-done twice so far, but to little success and so I decided the best thing to do was step away from it for a short time, which turned into a large time; However over the next few weeks I hope to be able to look at the story and at least start it once again Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles: This is a fandom that pretty much hit me like a train, out of curiosity I started to watch re-runs of season one last summer and was hooked on the show straight away. So it didn't take long before I was hooked onto both reading and writing fanfic's for the fandom. I started with Without a voice, without a thought, without a soul; which is in need of me to go back and clean up the chapter's I've already posted before I think of adding anymore to it, a story pretty much like my heroes that that took a back seat once other ideas came to be but also one that I'm more then willing to finish. I also have two one-shots for the fandom in; I'm not a hero, I'm just human. Which was a medium length idea that I had on how Judgement day could still happen, obviously set before season one. Heroes aren't made, they're born. Was a second one-shot I tried which was based on the idea of John not being able to stop Judgement Day and fighting the war with both Derek and Cameron, when he finds out Alison Young is captured. I have one finished story in; There's no fate but that which we make. Which also comes with it's own trailer, the link being at the start of one of the chapters or by just searching for the title of the story on Youtube. Set at the start of season 2 and quickly runs off into my own little world. We all have our part to play. Is a sequel to There's no fate, and as of right now only has one chapter to it. That 70's show: My attempt to try and go into another fandom after it had already became clear my main one at the time was already picked. Honestly I'm not sure how it truly went as once again I only did a one shot after I saw a challenge on someone else's story and tried my own hand at it. My result was Lies my parents told me. Finished Stories: I want what i can't have. Harry Potter. Harry/Cho Xander the slayer. BTVS. Buffy/Xander What i've done. Harry Potter. Harry/Cho Lies my parents told me. That 70's show. Hyde/Jackie Don't you people ever die. Harry/Cho How Angels Fall. Heroes. Zach/Claire There's no fate, but that which we make. TSCC. John/Cameron Over and Over. Heroes. Zach/Claire I'm not a hero, I'm just Human. TSCC. John/Cameron (Kind of) Heroes aren't made, they're born. TSCC. John/Cameron Discontinued Stories The light hurts my eyes. BTVS The enemy of my enemy. BTVS The Rider. BTVS Xander the slayer sequel. BTVS The devil's own. BTVS White Knight. BTVS. Anyplace. Anytime. Anywhere. BTVS | |||||||
