Author has written 38 stories for Harry Potter, Office, X-Files, Wire in the Blood, Lost, Murder by Numbers, Suicide Kings, Dark Harbor, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Ocean's 11, and OZ. I'm now using the Archive Of Our Own as well, under the same pen name. So, if you have an account over there, look me up! I'll be using that site more frequently, especially for reading other slasher's fics. I am a Swedish girl who likes to escape reality sometimes through fan fiction, often (or should I say most always) of the slashy kind. The phenomenon was first discovered, and became somewhat of an obsession (hey, what, I was a teenager!) when I was about twelve or thirteen (see, show me a thirteen-year-old who doesn't make an obsession of a newfound interest!) My first fandom was Lord of the Rings. Ahh, yes. The Library of Moria... that brings back memories... And then as time passed and I broadened my horizon other fandoms were added on in (roughly) this order: Harry Potter, Lotrips, Murder by numbers, The white squall, The bumblebee flies anyway, The X files, Batman, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lost, Gilmore Girls, The Office (UK - obviously), A bit of Fry and Laurie, Jeeves and Wooster, Dark Harbour, Gossip, Cursed, House MD, Black books, Shaun of the dead, Hot fuzz, Supernatural (more than the actual show actually) as well as the J2 pairing its RPS fandom, Wire in the blood, Ocean's eleven, Suicide Kings, Equilibrium, Pathology, Six feet under, Sherlock Holmes, Kiss kiss bang bang, Two guys and a girl, Inception, Oz, Law & Order: SVU (but only season 1 and only if Dean Winter's character Cassidy is involved), Sherlock, Tinker tailor soldier spy, Lewis. Lord of The Rings as well as Harry Potter will always have a special place in my heart, not only because they were the first and biggest. In the Harry Potter fleet I sail under flags of Harry/Draco, Harry/Ron, Ron/Draco, as well as any combination of the Marauders Snape and Lucius thrown into the mix (not all of them together mind you, just two at a time...) as well as the Weasley twins (I know, I know, that's a particularly twisted incest-pairing with them being identical twins and all, but I don't know why, I just find it intriguing...) and femme pairings: Luna/Ginny, Pansy/Hermoine, Fleur/Hermoine. Whereas in Lord of the rings any combination or the hobbits, the humans, the elves, well basically any of the characters, regardless of kind or gender or age, really, are intriguing if the story is beautifully written, this fandom is different in that way since it is, or at least should be, inspired by the language of Tolkien, after all... so any fan fiction in this fandom is more of a poetic nature than anything, in fact erotica in this fandom seems oddly out of place and quite crude, it's definitely more of a romantic fandom and/or dark/adventurous one, it's also one of the few fandoms where I really don't mind het, usually I prefer slash for some reason, but in Lord of the Rings, love is love, as it should be. Although, of course I have my OTP... and I know what you're thinking, but although Frodo/Sam as well as Legolas/Gimli are the two most canon pairings (and two of my favourites, sure) my OTP is Legolas/Elessar. Reality has come in the way of my secret hobby in the past few years however and I've barely found the time to keep up to date with my reading of slash fiction, let alone continue writing my own fics, and I apologize for this inexcusable delay, I'm well aware that I have a few Works In Progress, and I will finish them eventually, I just need to find the time and inspiration. But first of all I need to sit down and re-read them and get re-acquainted with them because I barely remember where I left off... So please be patient with me and I promise I WILL GET THEM DONE, maybe not all of them, but Change of Reality is one, because I remember I enjoyed writing it, so I'm going to continue that (although it's been what, four years now...) ”There is nothing to writing. But, whenever I do have some new ficcage to share, I'm most likely to out it up on AO3 first of all (same pen name!) and then on LJ as well (same pen name there as well, but my journal is FO so you'll have to comment on the post and then I'll add you) Other things not slash fiction related to do with me: I used to do the whole brooding, coffee-and-cigarettes poet thingy with the occasional dive into a bottle of red.. the coffee is still my constant companion, although I've cut down considerably, and I've quit smoking and drinking alcohol all together. Books, movies, Viggo Mortensen, british mystery shows (absolute favourite would be Wire in the blood) and comedy shows (such as Monty Python's flying circus, Absolutely fabulous, Black adder, anything to do with Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry and Rik Mayall, and The Office), odd and artsy movies (e.g. the reflecting skin), crappy horror borderline-comedy movies (e.g. Nightmare on Elm street), writing, photoshop, photography, painting and drawing. I listen to Metal music mostly but I also like rock and classical music, my all time favourite band is Blind Guardian and artist is Joakim Thåström. Right now though, I'm listening to The Dresden Dolls and The Pogues more than anything. I have one interest at a time, in periods, that I obsess over. Right now it's the television series Oz, in particular the character of Ryan O'Reily. And since my obsession is very thorough, it of course leaks out to the actor portraying him, Dean Winters, and the annoying thing is that when I get obsessed with an actor I have to watch everything they ever filmed, over and over and over, which in this particular case is a real pain, because most of the stuff Dean's done is really not to my taste.. I mean, Sex and the city -- I've always hated that show, I just don't get it, and it's annoying, Sarah What's-her-name's character in particular, and of course Dean's character had to have all his scenes with her -- and stupied cop shows like Third watch... although Law & Order: SVU season 1 really surprised me, I actually liked it. I'd seen an episode of some later season and thought it was awful, but the first season was really good and really funny. But needless to say, since there is a fandom, all my fic focus right now is on Oz and Ryan O'Reily in any constellation, both when it comes to reading and writing slash. I've only written one fic so far, Baby steps (can be found at my livejournal -- but I'll make sure to post it here as well, later) but I've read probably every fic there is to read out there at least twice. I just hope, like with The X-files, the fandom stays strong even though the show is over (even though not as strong as when it was running) | |||||
