Autobiographic nonsense!

My name's Silvia, I'm 22, I'm Italian and I study foreign languages, namely English and French. I love the English language, to the point I have difficulties coming up with words in my own mother-language! I started reading fanfiction back in 1999; about the X-Files at the time, I joined into a Virtual Season community and wrote two fanfics of my own, in Italian obviously. Harry Potter fanfiction I started reading before the OotP came out and I have never really stopped since; there are some very skilled writers out there! My favourite pairing has to be Hermione and Draco, though I knew from the start it was never going to happen, canon could only lead to a HGRW ending (and it did). My favourite fanfic was called P U R E B L O O D, but it has now disappeared off the archive :( I turned to the pair Hermione and Blaise by sheer chance. I used to like the Italian background fanon Blaise was supposed to come from, and it made a lot of sense to me! I'm okay with what JKR has decided to do with him, but sometimes I wished she had left us in the unknown.. the coffee-addicted black-haired Slytherin appealed to me more than the one she had him turn out to be. (mourning pause) Anyway, those who clearly don't speak Italian used very poor translation for Blaise and that's what turned me into a HGBZ writer (apart from not being able to restrain my writing inclination anymore). Please don’t feel offended, it’s just really scary what Babelfish translations come up with!

I'm a university student and I don't have much time for writing anymore, but I keep coming back to the blank page in Word and write whenever I can spare a minute. At this very moment, I should be writing my term paper, but my mind is on the next chapter of my fanfic. Hopeless, I'd say. Enough babbling, I'll run a quick schematic of my persona so you can skip to the juicy part (the fanfic).

Favourite HP book: Half-Blood Prince! all Snape, all the time... the lame attempt at fanfiction JKR did... last year at Hogwarts...

Favourite canon ship: Luna Lovegood / Rolf Scamander (I can totally see it)

Favourite fanon ship: Hermione Granger / Draco Malfoy and/or Blaise Zabini and/or Theodore Nott (just.. forget Ron)

Favourite writers: Jeremy Paxman, Philippa Gregory, Jeanne DuPrau, J.K. Rowling, Tracy Chevalier, Lynne Truss
