latest update (7-2-08)

I am still working on Das. I haven't abandoned the story.

my profile and stuff

Hello there! My name's Bee and you've stumbled upon my profile. I used to have a lot of stuff here, but who really reads all of that anyway?

So, here are a few basics. I've loved The Phantom of the Opera since 1992, when I stumbled upon a copy of Gaston Leroux's novel. I also enjoy the ALW musical, the 1925 movie starring Lon Chaney, and the 1989 movie starring Robert Englund as Erik Destler. I dislike Susan Kay's novel, the Charles Dance miniseries, the Yeston/Kopit musical, the Forsyth novel, any mention of a sequel to the ALW stage show, and the 2004 movie (except for Patrick Wilson's Raoul and the non-English dubs - Eriks and Christines who can actually sing, unlike Gerard and Emmy, oh my!).

I love Erik. I love Raoul. I can't decide which one I love more. I think "fop bashing" is immature, and it is my fervent belief that anyone who "fop bashes" is missing the point of The Phantom of the Opera entirely. I think R/C is an adorable ship and I love it. My E/C ship tends to be darker, and it usually involves insanity, mental instability, and/or morbidity. I also have a tender spot in my heart for Reyer and Philippe (not together, you pervs).
